Vinci had a chance to redeem himself on the September 20 episode, but despite the match lasting longer than his previous outing, he once again fell short. Crews managed to secure the win with a roll-up pin, leaving Vinci visibly frustrated. In a fit of anger, he attacked Crews after the bell, indicating his growing frustration with his lack of success.
Behind the scenes, there are reports of mixed feelings regarding the creative direction for Vinci’s character. Nevertheless, it seems WWE is committed to developing this new iteration of Giovanni Vinci, going “double or nothing” in hopes of turning things around for him in the future.
