WWE Finalizes Creative Team for AAA Brand – WWE has reportedly locked in the creative team that will guide the direction of the AAA brand, which the company officially acquired on April 19, 2025. According to a new report from PWInsider, the team will include longtime WWE producer Jeremy Borash, Lucha Libre legend Konnan, and seasoned announcer and creative mind Moody Jack Melendez.
All three bring significant experience to the table. Borash has worked behind the scenes in WWE for years, with a rich background in TNA/Impact Wrestling where he was heavily involved in production and storyline development. Konnan, a pivotal figure in the history of AAA, has long served as a creative consultant for the promotion and is widely respected for his influence on modern Lucha Libre. Melendez, who worked as the voice of the Latin American Xchange (LAX) in TNA, also brings years of experience from Puerto Rican wrestling promotions and past AAA involvement.
PWInsider also reports that both Konnan and Melendez will be present at the WWE x AAA: Worlds Collide event tomorrow, Saturday, June 7. Additionally, Melendez and Savio Vega were seen earlier this week at the WWE Performance Center, where they were involved in preparing for the inaugural crossover show.
With this trio at the creative helm, the AAA brand under WWE’s ownership is poised to blend authentic Lucha Libre tradition with WWE’s global production style. Their combined knowledge is expected to play a key role in presenting AAA talent to a wider international audience while preserving the brand’s cultural identity.
