Becky Lynch Reclaims Intercontinental Title, Lyra Valkyria Attacks After Match – At WWE Money in the Bank 2025, Becky Lynch once again stood tall as Intercontinental Champion after defeating Lyra Valkyria in a grueling, back-and-forth match that showcased both women’s resilience and intensity.
The action started before the bell, with Becky attempting a clothesline during the introductions, which Lyra narrowly avoided. Once the match officially began, Lyra gained early momentum with a series of hip tosses and a forearm that sent Becky crashing to the floor. Becky responded by pulling Lyra to the outside and targeting her elbow, slamming her into the announce table and barricade.
Back in the ring, Becky hit an exploder suplex for a near fall and followed up with strikes and rope chokes. After trading European uppercuts, Lyra surprised Becky with a backslide and countered the Manhandle Slam with an arm drag. A sequence of roll-ups saw both women come close to winning before Becky delivered a pair of leg drops and a twisting variation for another near fall.
Lyra fought back with a swinging neckbreaker and a string of kicks and clotheslines, culminating in an enzuigiri and a Doctor Bomb for two. She attempted to finish Becky off with a moonsault, but missed, leading to Becky locking in an armbar. Lyra reversed into a single-leg crab and stomped on Becky’s head, but the veteran reached the ropes.
The match spilled outside again, where Lyra connected with a leg drop off the Spanish announce table. Becky later countered a top-rope move with a powerbomb, nearly ending the match. A Super Manhandle Slam followed, but Lyra kicked out just in time. On the floor, Becky hit another Manhandle Slam into the ring post. Lyra answered with Night Wing, and both competitors barely beat the count.
Back inside, they exchanged forearms, slaps, and rapid-fire roll-up attempts. Lyra hit a Victory Roll, but Becky reversed the momentum and secured the three-count to reclaim the Intercontinental Title.
After the match, as per stipulation Lyra was forced to show respect by raising Becky’s hand and reluctantly placing the championship around her waist at Becky’s request. However, the mood shifted quickly when Lyra blindsided Becky with a German suplex and followed it up with Night Wing, making a powerful statement even in defeat.
