Mercedes Moné Tops 2025 PWI Women’s 250 Rankings – Pro Wrestling Illustrated has officially released its annual list of the top 250 female wrestlers in the world, and Mercedes Moné has claimed the number one spot for 2025. The achievement marks the first time Moné has topped the prestigious list, solidifying her position as one of the most accomplished and influential performers in the sport today.
The ranking period covered October 1, 2024, through September 30, 2025. According to PWI, the selection criteria were based primarily on win–loss records and championships earned, followed by influence on the industry, in-ring technical ability, and overall activity throughout the year.
Moné’s success over the past twelve months has been impossible to overlook. After returning to the ring following a lengthy injury layoff, she went on to dominate competition in both AEW and NJPW, capturing titles and headlining major events. Her combination of star power, global impact, and elite in-ring skill set her apart from the rest of the field.

She now joins an elite group of former PWI Women’s 250 (and previously PWI Women’s 100) winners, including Toni Storm, Rhea Ripley, Syuri, Bianca Belair, Bayley, Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey, Asuka, Charlotte Flair, Nikki Bella, Paige, Cheerleader Melissa, Gail Kim, Madison Eagles, Michelle McCool, Mickie James, and Awesome Kong.
For Moné, the recognition caps off a remarkable year of reinvention and resurgence. With major matches still ahead and her influence continuing to grow across multiple promotions, 2025 has truly been The CEO’s year.
