Mariah May Makes Shocking NXT Debut – On the June 3 episode of WWE NXT, new NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne made her first appearance since her shocking title win, addressing the NXT Universe alongside her Fatal Influence stablemates Fallon Henley and Jazmyn Nyx.
Jayne immediately made it clear that she isn’t interested in the support of fans who previously doubted her. “You didn’t support me for the last four years, so don’t hop on the bandwagon now,” she declared. “You have to listen to what I have to say.”
Standing tall with her allies, Jayne claimed that the NXT Universe was witnessing a cosmic correction: “All is right in the universe because Fatal Influence is finally on top, where we belong.” She called her title win “the most shocking moment in NXT history,” taking satisfaction in the stunned reactions from fans.
Jayne also reflected on her journey to the top, addressing years of being labeled a “third wheel” and an afterthought. “You latched onto the flavor of the month, but I put in the work,” she said. She then revealed that her and Henley’s partnership had been years in the making: “We started in the business together. Fallon’s like a sister to me, and after a very long, long discussion, we decided it was time to finally run the play.”
That “play” was the now-infamous betrayal that helped Jayne capture the title—“the slap heard around the world.”
Before Jayne could say more, a wave of challengers interrupted. Jordynne Grace, Jaida Parker, and Kelani Jordan all entered the ring, demanding a title opportunity. A chaotic brawl erupted as Jayne, Nyx, and Henley watched from ringside, content to let the others fight it out.
But just as the dust began to settle, the lights dimmed—and Mariah May appeared on the balcony, signaling her official arrival in NXT.
The former AEW star addressed the crowd with confidence: “You can call me the next NXT Women’s Champion.” She added that the “best women’s division in the world just got a lot more glamorous.”
Interestingly, commentary never referred to her by name, suggesting that a WWE ring name change may be imminent.
