Robert Stone Says WWE Buying TNA Is Now a Real Possibility – During an appearance on Ten Count with Steve Fall, NXT’s Robert Stone weighed in on WWE’s evolving business model and hinted that the long-rumored acquisition of TNA Wrestling by WWE may no longer be out of the question.
When Fall brought up WWE’s recent acquisition of AAA’s parent company, he asked Stone if TNA could be next. Stone responded, “Oh, I think at this point in wrestling, in the WWE, anything could become a reality. I mean, if you say it out loud, I think it could happen. That’s how hot everything that WWE is doing right now.”
Stone, a former TNA talent himself, emphasized WWE’s recent shift toward a more collaborative mindset. “They’re so open, it’s so cool that they want to work with everyone, and they have open arms to every kind of style,” he said, also referencing WWE’s partnership with NOAH in Japan. “They’re welcoming everyone, because they understand that there’s a lot of wrestling out there, so why not let’s all, you know, unify and work together and give the fans a little bit of everything.”
He continued, “So yeah, I mean, all bets are off at this point, anything could happen.”
Stone’s remarks reflect the ongoing transformation within WWE, particularly under the TKO Group Holdings umbrella. With cross-promotional efforts like NXT’s current partnership with TNA, which has already featured talent exchanges and championship matches on television, the boundaries between wrestling brands are becoming more fluid.
While WWE’s acquisition of TNA remains speculative, the company’s willingness to engage with other promotions — and its recent expansion moves — suggest that such possibilities are now closer to reality than ever before.
