Jamie Hayter’s AEW Absence Due to Ongoing Medical Ineligibility – Jamie Hayter remains off AEW television due to not being medically cleared to compete, according to a new report from Fightful Select. The former AEW Women’s World Champion has not appeared on Dynamite since the episode following this year’s Double or Nothing pay-per-view, and her current absence is now confirmed to be health-related.
On that post-PPV episode, Hayter was written off television in a storyline attack by debuting star Thekla. That segment came just days after Hayter lost to Mercedes Moné in the finals of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, a high-profile match that was widely expected to mark her full return to the title picture.
AEW is reportedly eager to feature Hayter again but will not move forward until she is officially cleared by medical personnel. As of now, no firm timetable has been given for her return. However, sources close to the situation say there is optimism that she could be back in action relatively soon.
This is yet another setback in what has been a frustrating stretch for Hayter, who continues to face extended time away due to health and administrative hurdles. She missed more than a year of action from mid-2023 through early 2024 due to a serious back injury, followed by another brief absence in early 2025 tied to her work visa renewal in the United Kingdom.
Once considered one of AEW’s fastest-rising stars, Hayter’s momentum has repeatedly been derailed by unfortunate circumstances outside the ring. Her return, whenever it comes, will likely be positioned as a major moment for the women’s division.
