Viewership For 5/20 NXT and 5/21 AEW Dynamite – The latest viewership figures are in for the May 20 episode of WWE NXT and the May 21 episode of AEW Dynamite, with both shows facing intense sports competition from the NBA and NHL playoffs.
According to Programming Insider, WWE NXT averaged 697,000 viewers on Tuesday, May 20, a modest increase from the 664,000 viewers the show pulled in on May 14. However, the show saw a slight decline in the key 18–49 demographic, scoring a 0.13 rating, down from last week’s 0.14.
NXT went head-to-head with Game 1 of the NBA Western Conference Finals between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Oklahoma City Thunder, which aired on ESPN and drew 4.989 million viewers with a 1.64 demo rating. In addition, the show faced competition from Game 1 of the NHL Eastern Conference Finals between the Florida Panthers and the Carolina Hurricanes on TNT, which averaged 1.296 million viewers and a 0.40 demo rating.

Meanwhile, AEW Dynamite took a noticeable hit in the ratings. The May 21 broadcast on TBS brought in 575,000 viewers, a significant drop from 682,000 viewers on May 14. The 18–49 demo rating also fell to 0.15, down from 0.17 the previous week.
Dynamite was up against Game 1 of the NBA Eastern Conference Semifinals between the New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers, which was a dominant draw with 5.726 million viewers and a 1.89 demo rating. The show also competed with Game 1 of the NHL Western Conference Finals featuring the Dallas Stars vs. Edmonton Oilers, which averaged 1.460 million viewers and a 0.45 demo rating.
