Kevin Owens Reveals He Doesn’t Have a Surgery Date Yet – Kevin Owens has broken his silence regarding the neck injury that has sidelined him from WWE competition, offering fans a direct and heartfelt update via social media. The former Universal Champion revealed that despite recent speculation, he has not yet undergone surgery and is still evaluating the best path forward with his medical team.

“So, first, we don’t have a surgery date yet,” Owens said in a video message. “I have not had surgery yet, despite reports that are contrary. We’re still gonna try and figure out what the best way to go about it all is, exactly what needs to be done. So we’re kind of figuring that out still.”

The injury, which forced Owens out of a high-profile match against Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41, has left much about his future uncertain. “So, there’s a lot of uncertainty but hopefully in the next few weeks, we get clarity and we do the surgery and then we go from there,” he added.

Owens was candid in his outlook, admitting, “I don’t know what’s happening with my neck. So, we’ll figure it out.” The transparency reflects the difficulty of navigating serious injuries in a physically demanding industry.

The update arrived on a particularly meaningful date: the tenth anniversary of Owens’ WWE main roster debut. On May 18, 2015, Owens—then the reigning NXT Champion—made a lasting impression by answering John Cena’s Open Challenge on RAW.

“This morning I was reminded that 10 years ago today I showed up on Raw for the first time to answer John Cena’s Open Challenge. And that night changed my life forever, changed my career,” Owens reflected. “Now 10 years later, I’m not where I want to be because I wish I was in the ring performing, having matches, contributing. That’s not the case, unfortunately, because of this neck injury. But still, I have to say the last 10 years have been just so amazing. So many amazing moments in the ring, out of the ring, so many amazing people that I’ve had the chance to get to know. I’m just so grateful for all of it.”

As of now, no return timeline has been confirmed. Reports from April suggested that Owens could be out for the rest of 2025, with some concern about his availability for next year’s WrestleMania. For now, fans are left to wait and hope for positive news as Owens focuses on recovery.
