Je’Von Evans vs. Sean Legacy vs. Ashante Thee Adonis in a Number One Contender Match
Adonis throws his jacket at Evans and then goes after Sean. Evans sends Adonis to Sean and Sean sends Adonis over the top rope to the floor. Evans with a springboard rollup for a near fall. Sean with a rollup for a near fall. Evans and Sean with a back bodyd rop to Adonis. Evans with a rollup. Evans comes off the turnbuckles and Sean with a back slide for a near fall. Adonis is punched off hte apron by Evans. Sean with a drop kick and a double stomp followed by another drop kick. Adonis with a clothesline to Sean followed by punches. Adonis punches Evans off the apron and then he goes up top and hits a twisting splash in the general direction of Evans. Adonis with a head scissors take down and drop kick. Evans with a springboard head scissors to Adonis and a drop kick to Sean.
Evans punches Adonis and sends him to the apron. Evans slides to the floor and drops Adonis on the apron. Evans with a kick to Adonis and he avoids Sean. Evans with a suicide dive and he overshoots Adonis and Sean. Evans goes to the ringside barrier to do some dancing. Evans chops Adonis and he does the same to Sean. Adonis with a hot shot to Evans and he punches Evans a few times while Sean gets back in the ring. Adonis with kicks to Evans. Sean punches Adonis and chops him. Sean and Adonis miss chops and Evans with a chop tto Sean. Sean with an Irish whip and chop in the corner. Adonis with a kick to Sean. Adonis with a hard Irish whip to Sean and he kicks Evans. Adonis with a back breaker and he gets a near fall on Evans.
Adonis kicks Evans and Sean. Adonis with a shoulder to Evans in the corner followed by one to Sean. Adonis with a shoulder to Evans and he runs into an elbow from Sean. Sean with a forearm and Adonis with a kick and DDT to Sean. Adonis with a spinebuser to Evans onto Sean for a near fall. Adonis sets for a super kick but Sean blocks it. Sean with a punch and Evans with a punch. Evans kicks Adonis and he hits a spinning heel kick on Sean. Adonis with a clothesline to Evans. Sean with a springboard drop kick to Adonis. Sean is sent to the floor and hen he comes back into the ring and hits Spanish Fly on Evans for a near fall. Sean sends Adonis to the floor and he hits a flip dive onto Adonis. Sean goes to the turnbuckles and Evans jumps up and hits a super rana and a rebound round kick. Adonis sends Evans to the floor but Evans breaks up the cover.
Evans and Adonis remain in the ring and they exchange punches. Evans with a jumping forearm and Adonis floats over into a DDT. Adonis with a super kick to Evans for a near fall. Adonis with a springboard 450 splash to break up the cover. Evans with a cutter to Sean and Evans with a rebound German suplex to Adonis. Evans with a pescado onto Sean. Evans goes up top and he hits a frog splash on Adonis for a near fall when Sean breaks up the cover.
Ethan Page attacks Saints at the announce table.
Evans with a plancha onto Page, Saints, and security.
Adonis misses a frog splash and Sean hits a twisting Death Valley Driver for the three count.
Winner: Sean Legacy
After the match, the brawl between Saints and Page continues.
– Ava, Stevie, and Stone are in OFFICE and Ava tells them to get Page and Saints. Ava congratulates Jasper Troy and Tyra Mae Steele for winning LFG. She gets their contracts and she says they will debut in the next few weeks. Jasper says he is going to make an impact and it starts tonight.
We go to commercial.
– We take a look at Jordynne Grace training for her match against Stephanie Vaquer.
She says Giulia, Stephane Vaquer, and her were the top three free agents in 2024. They all signed in NXT with one thing in mind. They wanted to be at the top of the women’s division. Now that they have beaten Giulia, they are going to fight to see who is at the top. She says they are very similar. They sacrificed everything to get to WWE. Jordynne says she also wrestled in Japan. They both dominated in other territories. Stephanie escaped with the title once, but it doesn’t happen at Battleground. We will find out who is the best.
– Lola Vice tells Stephanie that Sunday will be a battle. Stephanie says she will talk to Lola after her interview. Jacy and Fallon tell Lola they are going to take the title from Stephanie. Lola says you are not going to win the title. She says that they are getting in the way of each other. Jacy says that Fallon thinks she is the leader. Then she tells Fallon she should take on Lola tonight.
– Trick tells Joe Hendry the difference between them is that people break their necks to see him while he breaks his neck to be seen.
– Trick performs for the crowd. Trick ends with a turn around.
– Joe is in LOCKER ROOM and he says the gloves are off.
– Kelly asks Josh Briggs about his match against Shawn Spears. Josh says he wishes Inamura was here. He tells Yoshiki that things aren’t as fun around here without him.
Josh Briggs vs. Shawn Spears
They lock up and Josh backs Sean into the corner and Spears pie faces Josh. Spears with punches and Josh punches back. Josh with an elbow and punches. Josh goes for a suplex but Spears escapes and connects with a head butt and chops. Josh with an Irish whip and Spears floats over. Josh catches Spears on a cross body. Josh with a flying clothesline. Spears escapes a slam and Spears goes for a slam but Josh blocks it. Spears with a knee to the midsection and Josh with a slam. Spears goes to the floor and Josh follows. Josh with a chop and he sends Spears into the apron. Josh sends Spears into the apron. Josh gets Spears up but Spears escapes and sends Josh into the ring post. Spears sends Josh into the ring.
Spears with punches and a boot to the head. Spears with a neck breaker for a near fall. Spears stomps on the hand and he punches Josh. Josh blocks a super kick. Josh with a back elbow and clothesline. Josh with a side slam and splash. Josh stes for a choke slam but Spears counters with an arm drag. Spears clotheslines Josh over the top rope to the floor. Josh gets on the apron and Spears with a thrust kick to send him to the floor. Spears comes off the apron and Josh catches Spears and he hot shots him on the announce table. Josh sends Nico into the ring steps while Brooks distracts the referee. Izzi kicks Josh in the head and Spears with an inside cradle for the three count.
Winner: Shawn Spears
After the match, Josh goes after Spears and Brooks and Nico stop Josh. Hank and Tank come to the ring and they fight off Brooks and Nico. They also send Spears to the floor.
– Sol Ruca and Zaria enter LOCKER ROOM. Kelani wants to confirm that when she wins, she gets a title shot. Kelani says Sol better not go back on her word. Zaria says Sol is not going back on her word, but you are not winning tonight. Kelani tells Sol she will see her at Battleground.
We go to commercial.
– Tatum Paxley is in BACK and she stares blankly. Thea Hail yells at Tatum for blaming her. Tatum says you don’t understand the toll to lose everything you are close to. Thea says she has felt that. Jaida attacks Thea and she tells Tatum she feels bad for her and Tatum asks if she really does and Jaida says nah and calls her stupid.
Uriah Connors and Kale Dixon vs. Bronco Nima and Lucien Price
Nima and Uriah start things off and Uriah is sent to the mat. Kale tags in and they lock up and Nima sends him into the mat. Price tags in and Kale with a side head lock. Price with a shoulder tackle and Uriah tags in. Price punches Uriah and Kale tags in. Uriah with a drop kick to Price followed by punches. Kale tags in and punches Price. Kale with a chop to the back and a DDT. Kale gets a near fall. Uriah tags in and he hits a slingshot senton for a near fall. Uriah chops Price and Price with a back body drop. Nima tag in and he punches Uriah and follows wit a back elbow and double stomp. Uriah kicks Nima in the back of the leg and Nima blocks a side Russian leg sweep. Kale with a super kick and that allows Uriah to hit the side Russian leg sweep while Price deals with the referee. Nima blocks a kick and sends Uriah to the mat.
Price uses Uriah to knock Kale off the apron and they hit a suplex into a spinebuster for the three count.
Winners: Bronco Nima and Lucien Price

– Myles Borne and Oba Femi come to the ring.
Oba says Myles came out alone and he does not know if that makes him stupid or brave. That is confidence. That is why you have made it this far. You are the number one contender for the NXT Championship. It is his understanding that this match is not just a fight for the title, it is a fight for everyone you are going to inspire who has struggled like you. Oba says that is admirable, but also misleading. Life is cruel. Good things don’t always happen to good people. You are a good person. This is not a Disney movie. You don’t get the happy ending or the dream come true. You don’t get to run into the sunset with his title. The dream was winning the Battle Royal and beating Ethan Page. When you walk into the ring with him, the dream will die. Oba says he will be merciless and relentless. He says you him to treat him like everyone else. You will be destroyed at the hands of Oba Femi.
Myles says he might be out here by himself, but he is not alone. Tavion and Charlie are training with. He has every kid who feels different and every parent who is afraid their child won’t fit in. It is about more than winning a title, it is about making a statement. He tells Oba to underestimate him. You wouldn’t be the first. Everyone has underestimated him, even coaches at the NXT Tryout. He has proven them wrong. This is the biggest match of his career but he has been surviving. This isn’t a Disney movie, but every ruler falls. He might be hard of hearing, but when he shocks the world, they will hear the one-two-three loud and clear.
Myles goes to the back and Jasper Troy comes from the crowd and attacks Oba Femi. Myles returns to the ring and Jasper leaves the ring. Myles offers his hand to Oba and Oba slaps it away. Myles picks up the title belt and he hands it to Oba. We get the obligatory face to face pose with the title belt held high.
– Ava yells at Saints and Page. Saints wants it to end. Page is fine with it happening tonight. Saints says if it isn’t tonight, he will destroy him. Page says he is not giving him a match because he is having fun destroying him. Saints says he can put the title on the line and Page likes that idea. Ava tells them they don’t make matches, she does. Sean Legacy has a claim for the title but the way you pissed her off, you have a match next week and the title is on the line.
We go to commercial.
We are back with Tony D’Angelo in RESTAURANT. He says the worst thing about betrayal is that it never comes from enemies, but from family. He says he tried. He tried to understand why you did this to him and the family. He says he is not a coward. He thought they were the same. He brought him into NXT. They ran the family and came to power. You were the under boss but that wasn’t good enough. You wanted the glory and to be the shot caller. Tony says he gets it. You don’t get it. You only see what Tony allowed you to see. You worried about yourself and it was easy. You will never sit in the big chair. You have guts but no brains. Sunday there is no betrayal and no bailout. There is just him breaking your face.
Lola Vice vs. Fallon Henley
They lock up and they go to the mat. Fallon backs Lola into the corner and Fallon sends Lola’s head into the turnbuckles and follows with a forearm. Lola with a wrist lock and kicks to the midsection. Fallon blocks a kick and she takes Lola to the mat. Lola with a drop toe hold and Jacy makes smarmy comments to Fallon. Lola with a take down and Fallon with a front face lock. Lola with an arm bar. Fallon with a double thrust to Lola. Fallon with a side head lock and take down. Lola with an arm bar and side head lock. Lola with a shoulder tackle and Lola blocks a hip toss. Fallon blocks a hip toss and Lola counters to try for a cross arm breaker. Fallon gets to the ropes.
Fallon kicks Lola and connects with a punch. Lola with a head scissors take down and a kick to send Fallon to the apron. Fallon drops Lola on the top rope and she sends Lola to the floor. Fallon uses the ring post to swing into a kick. Fallon sends Lola into the apron. Lola with a back heel kick and Fallon with a forearm. Fallon with a kick to the leg. Lola with a double leg take down. Fallon with a back heel kick. Fallon kicks Lola in the corner and chokes her. Fallon with a flying clothesline and she gets a near fall. Fallon gets another near fall. Fallon chokes Lola in the ropes. Fallon with punches to Lola and a rear chin lock. Lola with a snap mare and Fallon gets a near fall with a rollup. Fallon with a forearm. Fallon with a forearm to the back of the head. Fallon with a rear chin lock. Fallon with a cravate and knees to Lola.
Lola with a back slide but Fallon rolls through. Fallon misses a round kick and Lola with a rollup for a near fall. Lola with kicks to Fallon. Fallon with a knee to the midsection. Fallon with a forearm. Fallon with a waist lock and she drops Lola to the mat and Fallon with a forearm for a near fall. Lola kicks Fallon away and Fallon with a back heel kick. Lola blocks a suplex and counters with a rollup. Lola and Fallon with clotheslines at the same time and both go down. Fallon with a forearm and Lola fires back. They continue the exchange. Lola with kicks to the midsection. Lola with speedball kicks and she sets for the Shakira hip and connects. Lola with an axe kick for a near fall. Fallon with a back elbow and Lola misses a kick in the corner.
Lola with a kick and a back heel kick. Fallon takes Lola down by the hair. Fallon with a double jump blockbuster for a near fall. Fallon with an Irish whip and Lola with a knee and a rolls through into a cross arm breaker but Fallon locks the hands. Fallon gets a near fall when Jacy gets on the apron. Lola with a punch and Jacy gets on the apron. Fallon collides with Jacy and Lola with a back fist for the three count.
Winner: Lola Vice
After the match, Fallon and Jacy yell at each other.
– Stephanie Vaquer was with Kelly Kincaid to talk about her match against Jordynne Grace. She is asked what has prepared her for this match. Stephanie says you have to make sacrifices. She was not ready for her first tryout so she went to Japan and Mexico to hone her craft. She sweated, bled, and fought. She says it was necessary to get here.
She is asked if she is the best in the division. Stephanie says it is a dream come true to be in WWE. She says she knew she was born to be a WWE Superstar when she saw Rey Mysterio. It has all been worth it.
She is asked about Jordynne Grace and the challenges she presents. Jordynne wants to be at the top of NXT. To become the best, she has gone through hell. Stephanie says she made that hell her home. Stephanie says she has conquered continents. When you get close to hell, you will burn in flames.
We go to commercial.
– We are back with Dark State.
They say they have put the fear of Dark State in the locker room and it is due to one man who led them and it is Dion Lennox. Dion says knowing your last move is your last means something. You pray that you survive. Cutler James says they are on a permanent seek and destroy mission. Osiris Griffin says there is a wild card and when you come from nothing, you have nothing to lose. Some call him lucky, but he is undeniable. Saquon asks who is next and you will find out that when they strike, no one is safe.
Kelani Jordan vs. Zaria
Zaria with a German suplex and a second one. Zaria runs Jordan into the turnbuckles and connects with shoulders. Zaria with a biel. Zaria misses a shoulder and goes into the ring post and then to the floor. Jordan with a pescado and she sends Zaria into the ring steps. Jordan goes up and hits a cross body for a near fall. Jordna with a head scissors take down Zara rolls through on a cross body and gets Jordan up on her shoulders. Jordan with a sleeper and Zaria backs Jordan into the turnbuckles to escape. Jordan sends Zaria to the apron and hits a face buster. Jordan misses a springboard move in the ropes. Jordan kicks Zaria off the apron and then goes for a rana off the apron but Zaria catches Jordan and swings her into the ringside barrier. Zaria runs Jordan into the apron and htis a back drop driver onto the apron.
Zaria gets a near fall. Zaria with a rear chin lock. Jordan with elbows and Zaria with a gutbuster. Zaria slams Jordan’s head into the mat and tosses her around. Zaria gets Jordan on her shoulders for a back breaker and she drops down for a near fall. Zaria with many Irish whips to Jordan. Zaria goes to the turnbuckles and she picks up Jordan in a rear chin lock. Zaria works on Jordan’s back. Zaria with a camel clutch. Zaria with an Irish whip but she runs into an elbow. Jordan with forearms. Zaria with a knee to the midsection. Zaria goes for a belly-to-back suplex but Jordan escapes and gets a near fall with a rollup. Jordan goes for a sunset flip but Zaria blocks it and she does not go over. Jordan with a drop kick to the knee followed by a DDT.
Zaria with a forearm and Jordan fires back. They continue the exchange. They both throw forearms at the same time. Zaria misses a clothesline and back elbow. Jordan with flying forearms and a cartwheel into a back elbow. Jordan goes for a tornado DDT but Zaria blocks it. Jordan with a bicycle kick and a tornado DDT. Jordan gets a near fall. Jordan goes up top and misses a 450 splash but she lands on her feet and rolls through. Jordan with a sunset flip for a near fall. Zaria with a clothesline. Jordan gets on Zaria’s back and Zaria with a cannonball into the corner with Jordan on her back. Jordan gets to the apron and she drops down and Zaria climbs over the top rope. Zaria iwth a kick and she sends Jordan back into the ring but Jordan lands on her feet. Jordan kicks Zaria off the apron and Sol catches her. Jordan with a baseball slide to Sol that sends her into Zaria.
Jordan says something to Sol and Sol gets on the apron. Zaria hits Sol on the apron after Jordan moves out of the way. Jordan with a rollup for the three count.
Winner: Kelani Jordan
– Just added to Battleground, we have Kelani Jordan versus Sol Ruca for the Women’s North American Title as well as Josh Briggs, Tank Ledger, and Hank Walker versus The Culling.

– Next week, from Orlando, Ethan Page faces Ricky Saints for the North American Championship.
– Joe Hendry is in the ring with his guitar to perform for the audience.
Joe says he knows this isn’t the first musical appearance tonight, if you call what happened earlier ‘music’. He dedicates this song to his opponent on Sunday.
Trick Williams interrupts the performance and he says that was the past and no one lives in the past any more. Trick gets in the ring and we have the Pavlov moment of the night. Trick responds to Melo’s bitch with Average Joe.
Trick with a forearm to Joe followed by a boot. Trick charges at Joe and Joe hits Trick in the leg with the guitar and Joe with Standing Ovation.

5/20 NXT Preview
Zaria and Kelani Jordan will clash once again tonight on NXT in a highly anticipated rematch. The two previously squared off on the May 6 episode, where Zaria secured a victory. Jordan hasn’t forgotten that loss — or her ongoing pursuit of Sol Ruca’s NXT Women’s North American Championship. With Ruca and Zaria aligned, this rematch carries more weight than just redemption.
Josh Briggs is also set for action, facing Shawn Spears of The Culling. Briggs had been teaming with NOAH star Yoshiki Inamura in recent months, but on May 6, Inamura revealed his NXT run was over. Left without his tag partner, Briggs was confronted by The Culling, who had harsh words for him. Tonight, Briggs looks to fight back and vent his frustration against Spears.
Sean Legacy will make his in-ring debut on NXT in a Triple Threat Match against Ashante “Thee” Adonis and Je’Von Evans. All three were part of the 25-Man Battle Royal on May 6 to determine a No. 1 Contender for Oba Femi’s NXT Championship. That match was won by Myles Borne of the No Quarter Catch Crew, but tonight offers a new opportunity for Legacy to make his mark.
OTM’s Lucien Price and Bronco Nima will also compete in their first televised NXT match, taking on Chase U’s Kale Dixon and Uriah Connors. The powerhouse duo is looking to establish themselves in the tag division with a dominant debut.
And just days before they square off at NXT Battleground, TNA star Joe Hendry and NXT Champion Trick Williams will share the stage — not for a fight, but a performance. Hendry will play guitar while Trick drops a rap, setting the tone for their upcoming clash over the TNA World Championship.
