Two Matches Added to NXT Battleground – The card for WWE NXT Battleground 2025 continues to take shape with two new matches officially added, raising the stakes for the May 25 Premium Live Event.
Kelani Jordan will challenge Sol Ruca for the NXT Women’s North American Championship after scoring a hard-fought victory over ZARIA on the May 20 edition of NXT. Jordan capitalized on a miscue between ZARIA and Ruca, who appeared at ringside to cause a distraction. Instead, ZARIA accidentally struck Ruca, and the brief moment of confusion allowed Jordan to roll her up for the pin.
With the win, Jordan earns a shot at becoming the first-ever two-time Women’s North American Champion, while Sol Ruca will now have to defend her title against a challenger who knows exactly how to exploit a moment of opportunity.
Also added to the card is a six-man tag team match featuring the rising faction known as The Culling. Shawn Spears, Brooks Jensen, and Niko Vance will team up to face the trio of Josh Briggs and the reigning NXT Tag Team Champions Hank Walker and Tank Ledger. The match is expected to be a chaotic affair, given the intense animosity that’s built between the two sides in recent weeks.
