Riley Osborne Released by WWE – Another name has been added to the growing list of confirmed WWE talent releases, as Riley Osborne has reportedly been let go by the company. The news comes via Fightful, which continues to track WWE’s ongoing wave of roster cuts affecting both developmental and main roster performers.
Osborne most recently competed under the NXT banner, where he was aligned with the Chase U faction before the group’s on-screen disbandment in November 2024. Prior to adopting the Riley Osborne persona in 2023, he had performed under the name Josh Morrell in both NXT UK and 205 Live between 2018 and 2022. He was also a regular on the WWE EVOLVE platform.
While not a featured name on weekly NXT television during 2025, Osborne had been seen regularly in the latter half of 2024 and was considered a promising midcard performer with potential for growth in WWE’s developmental system.
Osborne appeared in a photo shared on X alongside recently released talents Cora Jade and Blair Davenport. The caption, “Just got a lot of free time on our hands. See you soon,” seemingly confirmed his exit while hinting at future plans beyond WWE.
Blair Davenport was previously released in February, while Cora Jade was confirmed as part of this week’s cuts. WWE has not yet released a public statement regarding the latest wave of releases, though internal reports suggest that more names could surface in the coming days.
