The show’s hosts, The Miz and R-Truth, made the announcement during the event. This record surpasses the previous high for a SummerSlam event in the U.S. The all-time SummerSlam attendance record remains with the 1992 event at Wembley Stadium, which holds a capacity of 90,000.

For context, WWE SummerSlam 2023, held at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan, had an announced attendance of 59,194. However, the actual paid attendance for that event was 51,477, leading to some controversy over the reported figures.
