Brian Cage Undergoes Knee Replacement Surgery – AEW star Brian Cage has revealed he recently underwent a second major surgery, this time receiving a full knee replacement just eight weeks after having surgery to repair a torn quad tendon.
In a video posted to Instagram, Cage—known to fans as “The Machine”—shared footage of himself back in the gym only four days after the knee replacement procedure. He credited his early return to training to his drive and work ethic, emphasizing that despite the pain and physical toll, he remains determined to come back stronger.
Cage included the following message in his post:
“4 days post knee replacement (8 weeks post quad tendon repair) and I’m already back in the gym @projectwellbeingllc
Love me, hate me, or somewhere in-between, you can’t deny I’m a fucking machine!
I’ve been dealing with excessive knee pain for years and have been working through it with the intention of going under the knife after All In. With the unfortunate set back of tearing my quad, I figured F it, let’s just get em both done. Not an easy or fun choice, but I’m gonna come back ripping heads off. Especially if this is me right now after surgery.
Shout out to @kingricochet for filming and getting our set in. #gmsi”
The timing of both surgeries suggests Cage opted to resolve long-standing knee issues following his recent quad injury. Originally intending to delay the procedure until after AEW All In, Cage decided to take care of both issues at once after the unexpected injury setback.
Despite the challenges, Cage’s rapid return to training highlights the intensity of his recovery process and his commitment to returning to AEW at full strength. While there’s no confirmed timeline for his return to the ring, Cage’s physical condition and mental resolve remain clear indicators that his comeback is already underway.
