Update on Kamille’s AEW Absence – An update has surfaced regarding the extended absence of AEW star Kamille, who has not appeared on AEW television in over six months. Contrary to speculation, Kamille is not dealing with an injury. Instead, she is currently committed to an outside television project that will keep her occupied through part of the summer.
According to a new report from Fightful Select, Kamille is involved in a television endeavor similar to the one that delayed Wardlow’s return earlier this year. Her work on the project is reportedly the primary reason she remains off AEW programming for the time being.
Interestingly, many within AEW were reportedly unaware of the specifics surrounding Kamille’s absence. The report notes that several talents were “effectively in the dark” and hadn’t received a clear explanation as to why she had been missing from TV.
There had been some internal talk that a planned storyline or working relationship between Kamille and Mercedes Moné may have stalled. However, sources emphasized that Mercedes was open to working with Kamille and that the two even discussed the possibility of a match back in December 2024. Despite those talks, no program materialized before Kamille’s absence began.
As of now, Kamille is still under contract with AEW, and the report adds that she has “plenty of time left” on her current deal. While no return date has been announced, she is not expected to be back until after her outside television commitment wraps later this summer.
