6/9 WWE RAW Results – John Cena’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring. John says you teach him something every time you open your mouths. What you taught him at Money in the Bank, Truth is a lie. You opened your mouth and wasted your energy for a side show comedian pretending to be him. You thought you did something good?
The crowd chants for Truth.
Cena asks if that accomplished anything? You are all spineless keyboard warriors. You are ignorant armchair activists. You do not have any real power to change anything. You don’t like that? R Truth is a gimmick that you will spit out and in a year, you won’t care anything about. R Truth will never use him for your pity parties again. This is his farewell tour, dammit. Cena says he has limited time. He said he had 36 dates at the start of the year. After Wrestlemania, we were down to 27. John runs off his appearances adn he is down to 19 dates.
This is almost over. We are halfway done. If you want to accomplish something, don’t waste your voice and send me the class clown. Use your voice to send him someone. Everyone you cheered for from R Truth to Cody Rhodes to Randy Orton, I have shut your mouth and beat your best.
CM Punk’s music interrupts and he makes his way to the ring.
Punk asks John if he is comfortable. He tells John he wants him to be comfortable because he has a lot to get off his chest. You will listen to everything he has to say. It is ironic, you strapped up. The cowboy, the boy scout saying you are going to ruin wrestling and the establish that made you. CM Punk, the outcast is defending the establishment. The more things change, the more they stay the same. Punk says he is not defending the establishment. He is not here to defend TKO or the billionaires. He is here to defend the people. Are you mad that the establishment picked you, but they never picked you. In 2011, they picked him to be the voice of the voiceless.
You have faced the best because Cody is the best we have. You won because you took a short cut. Punk says the people are his boss. He says it is his job to give them what they want. If they want the Truth, they will get Ron Killings. We are all spokes on a wheel. It is time that John Cena taught John Cena he is just a spoke on the wheel. It starts with him taking the title off your shoulder. Rememer when they locked up at Elimination Chamber. I felt it. You watched Seth Rollins stomp him and you did not hesitate to put him in the STF. The last thing he heard before he passed out was John saying ‘I’m Sorry’. You knew then and know now that what you are doing is not right.
You know what you are doing is wrong. When I take that title off you, you will spend the rest of your dates apologizing for the man you have become. That title has corrupted you. He knows because that same belt made him a monster in 2012. When he came back, he had a list of goals. Holding that belt wasn’t one of them becuase he was afraid of the man he would become. Everyone wants to be champion and few have accomplished it. He has to become a monster to stop you. To guys like you and Seth Rollins, that is a chip that means power and control. That is something that belongs to the people.
Punk says by his count, you have 18 dates left. What little respect he had for him, he will leave it up to John to pick when he takes the title off Cena. If you are any type of a man and more Boston Red Sox than New York Yankee, you will say that night is tonight.
Cena says John Cena . . . CM Punk . . . One final match. The Best in the World versus The Greatest of All Time for the Undisputed WWE Championship. Cena says let’s do it . . . not tonight. Cena says a match like this, you will follow him to Saudi Arabia and we will do it at Night of Champions. Ball is in your court. If you want the title match, we do it at Night of Champions.
Punk tells Cena he is on.
Seth Rollins interrupts and he makes his way to the ring with his baggage, and the briefcase.
Chad Gable vs. AJ Styles
Chad asks for some respect. Some people went through hell this weekend. Their boy El Grande Americano went through hell at Money in the Bank. Chad went into hostile territory at Worlds Collide. Neither of them are in the King of the Ring Tournament.
Brutus tells Chad to sit back since he is injured. He offers to take Chad’s place and he giggle/cackles.
Chad says he will beat AJ tonight like Grande beat AJ last week. You might be Phenomenal, but Chad says he is an Iron Man and you will find out why.
They lock up and Chad with a side head lock. AJ with a reversal. Chad with an arm drag but AJ with an arm drag. AJ with a drop toe hold and Chad with a drop toe hold and side head lock. AJ with a Phenomenal Drop Kick and Chad goes to the floor. AJ with a pescado but Chad moves and AJ lands on the apron. AJ and the referee talk and Chad trips AJ. Chad with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Chad rolls AJ back into the ring. Chad with punches to AJ followed by kicks. AJ with chops and Chad fires back with chops and kicks in the corner. Chad with a knee drop to the arm. Chad gets a near fall. AJ goes to the floor and Julius with some kicks while the referee was not looking. Chad is run into the ringside barrier by AJ and AJ with a forearm. Chad with a forearm.
They returnt ot he ring and Chad with a Northern Lights suplex for a near fall. Chad with a knee drop to the arm and he slams the arm into the mat. Chad with an arm bar. Chad gets AJ back to the mat. AJ with punches and a clothesline. AJ with a forearm to Chad. AJ with a clothesline into teh corner and he gets Chad up but Chad escapes. AJ gets Chad up and hits Three Seconds Around the World for a near fall. AJ sets for a Styles Clash but Chad escapes and he hits a German suplex. Chad with a diving head butt for a near fall. Chad goes up top and AJ stops him on the turnbuckles. AJ goes for a power bomb and hits it. AJ goes for the Styles Clash but Brutus distracts the referee and Julius pulls Chad to the floor. AJ with a sliding knee to Julius and a forearm off the apron to Brutus.
AJ with a forearm and Chad pulls AJ off the ropes on a springboard move and he applies an ankle lock. AJ kicks Chad away but Chad holds on to the ankle lock. AJ fights through the pain and he rolls through and sends Chad into the ropes. AJ rolls through into a Styles Clash for the three count.
Winner: AJ Styles
Liv Morgan is in Gorilla and Roxanne Perez shows up. Liv tells Roxanne to hold her breath. She says she will win this match and become Queen of the Ring and get her title back. Roxanne suggests they work together but Liv tells her to stay out of her way. Roxanne says may the best woman win and Liv says she will.
Liv Morgan vs. Kairi Sane vs. Rhea Ripley vs. Roxanne Perez in a Queen of the Ring First Round Match
Roxanne tries to talk to Liv and Sane punches Perez. Rhea goes after Liv but Perez with a choke on Rhea. Rhea sends Liv into Perez . Sane with a forearm off Rhea’s back to Perez. Sane with a hesitation head scissors and arm drag take down. Sane sends them to the floor. Sane goes for the hesitation head scissors but Rhea with a kick to the midsection followed by a drop kick. Rhea gets a near fall. Rhea goes for a wrist clutch into a suplex but Sane escapes and hits a blockbuster for a near fall. Sane goes for a bulldog but Rhea pushes her to the mat. Rhea wtih an elbow to Sane and then she sends Perez to the apron.
Liv with an elbow and Sane with a knee. Rhea with a head scissors to Liv in the ropes and Perez makes the save. Rhea punches Perez. Liv goes for a Codebreaker but Rhea blocks it. Perez with a chop block to Rhea to stop RipTide. Perez sets for a side Russian leg sweep but Liv with a Codebreaker and Perez hits the side Russian leg sweep. Liv and Perez catch Sane off the turnbuckles and they press her onto Rhea on the floor. Liv kicks Sane and Rhea on the floor. Perez with punches to Sane and then they send Rhea into the ringside barrier. Sane is sent into the ringside barrier. Liv kicks Rhea and sends her into the announce table. Perez sends Rhea into the apron. Perez and Liv with chops to Rhea. Liv with a kick to the midsection. Rhea is sent back into the ring. Perez punches Rhea and she windmills. Perez Irish whips Liv into the corner for a hip strike. Perez with an uppercut. Liv with a drop kick to Rhea in the corner. Perez punches Rhea and Liv grabs Rhea by the hair. Rhea punches Perez and Liv.
Liv sends Rhea to the mat. Perez kicks Sane and Perez sends Sane into Rhea. Rhea is sent into the ring post shoulder first and she falls to the floor. Perez tries to send Sane to the floor but Sane sends Perez to the floor. Sane with chops and a running forearm. Sane with a marching sliding D into the corner for a near fall. Sane with an Irish whip and Perez floats over and goes for a sunset flip but Rhea stops her with a drop kick. Liv with a springboard Codebreaker for a near fall. Sane with an Alabama Slam and Liv stops Sane on the turnbuckles. Sane with punches to Liv but Liv stops her. Perez and Liv go for a double superplex but Rhea comes under for the double power bomb to Liv and Perez. Sane with a forearm off the turnbuckles to Rhea for a near fall. Sane with forearms to Rhea and Rhea fires back.
They continue the exchange. Sane with more forearms. Rhea avoids a back fist and Sane kicks Rhea. Sane with a wheelbarrow into a cutter for a near fall. Liv and Perez send Rhea into the turnbuckles and Liv kicks her. Perez with a thrust kick. Perez with a thrust kick to Sane and Liv with a lungblower. Sane is sent to the floor. Rhea gets to her feet and she clotheslines Perez and Liv. Rhea with a drop kick to Perez and a German suplex to Liv. Rhea with a face buster to Perez and a fallaway slam. Sane goes up top and Rhea moves when she comes off the turnbuckles. Rhea with a thrust kick to Sane and a head butt to Perez. Rhea blocks obLIViion. Rhea goes for RipTide and hits it but Raquel pulls Rhea from the floor.
Rhea punches Raquel.
Sane goes up top and hits an elbow on Raquel and Rhea. Sane goes up top again and sets for the elbow drop. Sane with the elbow drop on Liv but Perez breaks up the cover and gets the three count with a jackknife cover.
Winner: Roxanne Perez
Maxxine Dupri and Natalya are in the back with Nikki. Nikki starts to walk in the back and she stops to talk to Kairi and Iyo and check on Kairi. Nikki introduces herself to Iyo and talks about how much she respects Iyo. Iyo says Nikki paved the way for them.
In the Arena:
Becky Lynch makes her way to the ring.
Becky asks where are the You Deserve It chants. Becky says she doesn’t need the chants because she knows it. Do you know how many chances there are for her to celebrate something she hasn’t done in her career. She runs through her accomplishments. She says this should be a celebration. This is a title for opportunities. She welcomes the title to the big time. It is now the greatest prize because she is the owner. She should have celebrated with her hot husband and beautiful child. Instead, that bird lady ruined everything for her. She was so enraged when Becky won and proved that she is the better woman that she raised her hand so aggressively that Becky thought she dislocated her shoulder.
As the bigger person, she extended an olive branch to put this tiff behind them and she asked Lyra to put the title around her waist. Lyra went crazy and tried to kill her. Becky tells crazy bird lady to come out to do two things. Apologize to her and raise her hand the right way.
Lyra’s music plays but Bayley attacks Becky from behind and she punches Becky. Lyra is in shock at what happened in the ring. Becky backs into Lyra and Lyra sends her back intot he ring. Becky escapes Rose Plant and Becky goes into the crowd.
In the Arena:
Ron Killlings shows up at the announce table.
He says don’t let nobody say you don’t matter. They heard, they listened, and they understood. He says he is back because of y’all. Y’all brought R-Truth back. You got R-Truth back. He is back for all of you. He is back for all of you and for him too. You brought R-Truth back and you got him. We all love R-Truth. He loves R-Truth too. He can be too funny. He can be too nice. He can be too forgiving. Not him. He says he feels alive. If you think he is a side show act or a gimmick.
Truth has a pair of scissors and he cuts off his hair.
He says R-Truth, the Truth has set him free. He says he is Ron Killings. He says he is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. He demands respect on his name.
Dominik Mysterio is in the ring and Finn and JD show up. Finn asks if it was a bit strange that Dom is in the tournament. Dom says Finn had a shot in Money in the Bank and he failed. Dom figured it was his time. Finn and JD say they are happy for him and they will go for hte tag titles.
Perez shows up and Finn and JD congratulate her. Dom tells Perez she looked good out there. Liv and Raquel want to know why they are celebrating. Dom says he has a match. Perez says she kept Kairi from winning. Liv and Raquel walk away. Finn tells Perez she has nothing to worry about.
Seth Rollins says in the future he sees Money in the Bank and King of the Ring. This is an all out assault on both championships. They will take them by victory or by heist. Absolute power will be ours. Bron barks and walks away.
Penta vs. Dominik Mysterio vs. Bron Breakker vs. Sami Zayn in a King of the Ring First Round Match
Penta with a flip dive onto Dom and Sami punches Bron in the ring. Bron runs Sami into the corner and connects with shoulders. Bron with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Penta with a springboad cross body but Bron catches him and hits a power slam. Bron with a running clothesline that flips Dom. Bron kicks Sami and punches Penta on the apron. Sami chops Bron a few times and follows with a forearm. Bron with a knee and side head lock. Bron catches Sami on a leap frog and hits a power slam for a near fall. Bron sends Dom to the floor. Bron with a clothesline and a back body drop. Bron punches Sami in the corner. Bron with a hard Irish whip to Sami and Dom kicks Bron. Bron with a hard Irish whip to Dom. Bron with shoulders to Sami and he knocks Penta to the floor.
Bron with knees to Dom followed by a back elbow for a near fall. Bron does push ups. Sami with a drop kick to Bron. Dom punches Bron and Sami sends Dom into the turnbuckles. Sami kicks Dom and Penta with elbows to Sami. Penta punches Bron. Bron with a belly-to-belly suplex. Bron kicks Sami and punches him. Bron chokes Dom in the corner and Bron biels Dom by the neck. Sami punches Bron and Dom with a jaw breaker. Penta with a super kick. All three pause around Bron and then they punch and kick him. Dom with a rollup on Penta for a near fall. Penta with a head scissors to Dom followed by a kick in the corner and a headstand hesitation kick to Dom for a near fall. Sami with a wrist lock into a tornado DDT on Penta for a near fall.
Penta rolls to the floor. Sami punches Bron but Bron with a take down and punches. Bron runs his forearm across the bridge of the nose. Bron with a punch to Sami followed by knees against the ropes. Bron kicks Dom. Sami slaps Bron and punches him. Bron punches Sami and sends him to the apron. Bron goes over the top rope when Sami drops down. Sami sets for an Arabian Press onto Bron and hits it. Penta with a cross body onto Sami on the floor. Dom with a suiciide dive tornado DDT to Penta. Bron clotheslines Dom over the announce table from the apron. Bron is the first to his feet and he adjusts the area around the announce table. Bron punches Dom. Bron punches Sami and Penta punches Bron and Bron goes into the ring. Sami goes up top and Penta stops him for a superplex but Sami stops him and connects with forearms and goes for a sunset flip power bomb and hits it.
Sami gets a near fall. Bron runs Sami into the corner and he puts Sami on the turnbuckles. Sami punches Bron to the mat. Dom with a forearm to Sami and Penta kicks Dom and hits a power bomb. Bron with a Frankensteiner to Sami. Penta with a forearm to Bron and Bron with a punch. Penta with a chop and Bron with a punch. Penta with forearms and Bron with a jumping knee. Penta with a thrust kick and Bron goes for a press slam but Penta counters with a DDT. Dom sends Penta to the floor and he gets a near fall on Bron. Sami goes for the Blue Thunder Bomb but Dom blocks it. Dom with a kick and a suplex. Dom holds on and hits number two. Dom sets for the third but Sami counters with a Blue Thunder Bomb for a near fall.
Sami sets for the Helluva Kick but Penta with a super kick. Penta with Sacrifice to Sami. Penta with the PentaDriver but Dom with a rollup but Penta’s shoulders are not down and he gets a near fall. Penta with a thrust kick and a back heel kick. Penta with a wraparound bulldog and a Destroyer to Dom. Bron kind of breaks up the cover. Bron punches Penta. Bron sends Penta to the floor and Bron is ready to spear someone. Bron goes to the floor for the WACKY spear and he hits Penta. LA Knight with BFT to Bron. Sami with an exploder to Dom in the corner followed by a Helluva Kick for the three count.
Winner: Sami Zayn
Cathy is with AJ Styles in the back and she asks about his win over Chad Gable. AJ says he cannot stop thinking about what happened last week. With or without the mask, Chad is one of the best. Paul was sent to intimidate him by Seth. The Judgment Day are coming after him. If you are going to try to intimidate him, he will punch you in the mouth.
Cathy walks over to Waller with the New Day. Waller walks away and Cathy asks Kofi and Woods when will they be defending the tag titles next. Kofi says they defended the titles two weeks ago. Woods says they are looking for a great team. Kofi says everyone should be thankful that they have champions who can elevate the title. Woods asks everyone to get on their knees and thank god for the New Day.
Sami Zayn walks into the back and Karrion Kross applauds him and congratulates Sami for winning on his own. He says Sami took his message to heart. Sami wants to know what Kross is talking about. Kross says Sami used LA Knight to get ahead. Kross says Sami did what needed to be done. Sami says he won because he was good enough to win that match. He says he will win a world championship because he is good enough to win a world championship. He will not continue to ask Kross to get out of his business because he is good enough to handle Kross.
In the Arena:
Nikki Bella makes her way to the ring.
Nikki says it is so good to be back home, to be back in this ring. She thanks the WWE Universe and her fans. She says she missed all of you. She says she is here to talk about something happening next month. Evolution will return in Atlanta. She says she remembers main eventing the first one and she talks about how much the division has changed. There is so much talent in that female locker room. She says she can speak for all of the women of the past. She says they cannot be prouder of how things are now.
Liv Morgan comes out and says if you are going to talk about the best women in the division she better mention her name. Liv says she was the World Champion all last year. She is the Crown Jewel Champion. She says she is breaking records as a tag team champion. You are lucky that she wasn’t around when Nikki was wrestling because she would have beaten her. You didn’t mention her name because Nikki is jealous of her. She has everything Nikki doesn’t. She has respect, a championship, and a man. Liv chortles.
Nikki says she gets it. You lost tonight and you are angry. She says she doesn’t blame Liv. Speaking of your man, Nikki is trying to figure out who he belongs to. Is it her or Roxanne? Nikki asks Liv to congratulate Roxanne for taking her title shot and her man.
Liv says that she is a champion and all Nikki will be is a reality TV Diva.
Nikki returns to the ring and Liv gives Nikki obLIViion.
Gunther vs. Jey Uso for the WWE World Heavyweght Title
They lock up and Gunther with a side head lock take down. Jey blocks a head lock take down and Jey with a sleeper. Jey punches Gunther and goes for the sleeper. Gunther with a snap mare. Jey goes for a super kick and Gunther gets out of the way. Gunther goes to the floor. Gunther gets on the apron and then he goes to the floor again. Jey blocks a kick and Jey with the sleeper again. Gunther with an elbow tot he head. Gunther sends Jey into the turnbuckles. Gunther misses a chop and Jey with a punch and then he goes to the turnbuckles for more punches. Jey chops Gunther and Jey goes to the apron but Gunther recovers and Gunther goes for a superplex back intot eh ring. Jey with a cross body for a near fall. Jey holds his ribs and Gunther with a kick to the midsection.
Gunther with another kick to the ris. The shirt comes off and we see the bandages around the ribs. Gunther with knees to the midsection. Gunther with a back breaker. Jey with punches but Gunther with a suplex. Gunther removes the bandage around the midsection. Gunther with a knee to the midsection followed by a kick. Gunther with a chop. Gunther with an Irish whip but he misses a splash. Jey goes for the sleeper and Gunther gets to the ropes. Jey with a German suplex. Jey sets for a spear and Gunther stops him with a sleeper but Jey sends Gunther to the floor. Jey goes for a suicide dive but Gunther punches Jey. Gunther tries to Irish whip Jey into the ring post but Jey reverses it. Jey with a waist lock and Gunther with a standing switch and German suplex.
Both return to the ring in time. Gunther sets for a suplex and he hits it. Jey punches Gunther and Gunther with a chop. Gunther stands on the ribs before picking up Jey. Gunther goes for a suplex and Jey blocks it. Jey goes for a suplex and Gunther blocks it. Jey tries again and falls short. Jey hits a suplex. Gunther with chops and Jey with forearms as they go back and forth. Jey with more punches and a dragon whip. Jey misses a running hip into the corner. Gunther with a sleeper. Gunther sends Jey to the apron and he applies a sleeper on the apron and Jey snap mares Gunther to the floor. Jey with a suicide dive. Gunther sends Jey into the ringside barrier. Gunther goes up top and misses a splash
Jey with a spear and he goes up top. Jey with a splash for a near fall. Gunther with a clothesline and he tries for a power bomb but Jey counters with a rana for a near fall. Jey with a super kick and he tries for a sleeper but Gunther with a back breaker. Gunther with a power bomb for a near fall. Gunther with a spear to Jey and he gets a near fall. Gunther with a chop and he has words for Jey. Gunther with a clothesline but Jey stays on his feet. Gunther with another clothesline and Jey stays on his feet. Jey with a sleeper and Gunther with a sleeper. Jey sends Gunther into the turnbuckles. Jey with a super kick and spear. Jey goes up top and he misses the frog splash. Gunther with a sleeper and he adds a body scissors. Gunther traps the arm and holds on to the sleeper in the center of the ring.
Gunther gets him to the mat again and adds a body scissors. Jey rolls toward the ropes but Gunther gets him back into the body scissors. Gunther with elbows and Jey with a sleeper. Jey gets him to the mat and applies a body scissors. Gunther escapes and he connects with elbows to the clavicle. Gunther with a sleeper and body scissors. Jey passes out.
Winner: Gunther (new champion)
