Maria Kanellis Teases WWE Return, Shares Dream WrestleMania Moment – Maria Kanellis is once again fueling speculation about a potential WWE return, hinting during a recent virtual signing with Signed By Superstars that she remains open to stepping back into the fold.
Kanellis, who had two previous stints with WWE—from 2004 to 2010 and again from 2017 to 2020—spoke highly of the company’s recent evolution and praised the professional environment cultivated in recent years.
“Never say never. I still chat with people over there,” Kanellis revealed. “I think that they’ve done an amazing job in the last few years of really, just, making it a more professional show from backstage to what you see and the product is live. A lot of my friends that are over there talk about how well it’s run and so, you know, never say never.”
Kanellis also shared her biggest unfulfilled dream in WWE—managing her husband, Mike Bennett, and his tag team partner Matt Taven, collectively known as The Kingdom, on the grandest stage of them all.
“My dream is to manage The Kingdom at a WrestleMania. That’s the only thing that I feel like I just—I didn’t get to do,” she said. “Or to manage my husband at WrestleMania and experience that together. I’ve had WrestleMania matches and he’s been in a WrestleMania match but we’ve never done it together and I feel like that would be really cool.”
Currently part of ROH and having made appearances in AEW, Kanellis continues to play an active role in wrestling. However, with WWE’s women’s division and tag team landscape continuing to evolve, the door appears to remain open for a future reunion.
