AEW Beach Break 2025 Will Not Be a Four-Hour Live Block – Despite earlier expectations, AEW Beach Break 2025 will not be a four-hour live block as previously reported.
Plans for AEW’s Beach Break-themed programming next month have been clarified following some confusion during this week’s Dynamite broadcast.
Although AEW commentator Excalibur appeared to tease a four-hour live block for Beach Break, it has now been confirmed that this will not be the case. According to both updated listings from TBS and confirmation from AEW officials, Dynamite will air live in its usual Wednesday night timeslot on May 14, while Collision will be taped immediately afterward for its standard Saturday night airing on May 17.
Both events will emanate from the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.
The speculation of a four-hour live event stemmed from Excalibur’s comment, which many fans interpreted as a sign that Dynamite and Collision would air back-to-back as a single extended live special. This assumption was fueled further by the upcoming four-hour live specials scheduled for June—Fyter Fest and Summer Blockbuster—which are confirmed to be extended live broadcasts.
This year’s Beach Break will mark the fourth edition of the themed event since it debuted in 2021 and the second consecutive year that the show takes place in the Chicago area. Last year’s Beach Break was held at the Wintrust Arena, continuing AEW’s strong ties with the region.
AEW has made Beach Break one of its staple themed events, usually offering storyline progression and standout matches in the lead-up to summer. While fans may have expected a marathon live broadcast next month, they can still look forward to two packed shows recorded from a hot wrestling market.
