Liv Morgan’s Injury Forces WWE To Overhaul Evolution 2 Plans – WWE’s creative direction for the upcoming Evolution 2 premium live event is undergoing major changes following Liv Morgan’s legitimate shoulder injury on the June 16 episode of RAW. According to WrestleVotes, the company has been forced to scrap several matches and storylines, including a heavily promoted tag team bout.
Morgan reportedly dislocated her shoulder during her match with Kairi Sane, and there is currently no timeline for her in-ring return. The injury has caused what was described as “ripple effects” across WWE’s summer plans — especially for Evolution 2, which was set to spotlight a marquee tag team match involving Morgan.
WrestleVotes provided a detailed update during a Q&A session earlier this week, revealing that the company is starting over on much of the card:
“I was told this morning that the injury has now caused a lot of the Evolution card to basically be scrapped, be ripped up, and start again from scratch because she was pegged for a big-time tag team match that is not going to happen now. That spot is gonna be filled by someone else and there’s a lot of ripple effects.”
The high-profile match in question was reportedly going to feature Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez defending the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles against a reunited Bella Twins, following Morgan’s recent attack on Nikki Bella which set the angle in motion.
With Morgan now sidelined indefinitely, WWE will have to find both a new direction for the tag team titles and a replacement storyline to fill what was expected to be one of Evolution 2’s top matches. More updates are expected as the revised card begins to take shape.
