Karrion Kross Confirms WWE Contract Expiration – As noted earlier, Karrion Kross and Scarlett’s WWE contracts officially expired, with both being moved to the company’s alumni section.
The development was addressed by Kross in part two of The Killer documentary, which chronicled his journey to WWE SummerSlam 2025, where he faced Sami Zayn.
“My contract is up August 10th. I’m f**ked. I’ve been f**ked. Things are weird. Not bad — just strange,” Kross said, adding that he felt like he had “slipped into another timeline” after WrestleMania and an appearance on the Sam Roberts Podcast.
Kross revealed he had been pushing for a new deal for months, starting in January, and made it clear he wanted to stay in WWE:
“It’s nothing against anywhere else, but I’m fully committed here. I’m not the type to just leave if things aren’t working. I’ll keep going until the sidewalk breaks. But months went by without a single conversation. When one finally happened, it wasn’t serious — no real substance. That profoundly disappointed me.”
Backstage at SummerSlam, Kross admitted his match with Zayn felt different, noting it could be his last in WWE:
“This might be the last one. If it is, I’m going to give it everything I’ve got. I’ll really miss it.”
Kross also voiced frustration with WWE’s creative limitations, saying it was difficult to hold back when he knew he could deliver more:
“It’s the hardest part of the gig when you know you can give more and they tell you, ‘Don’t home run — stop at second.’ One day you go for the home run anyway… and they get mad. We’re all on the same team. Why be upset about extra points?”
With his WWE chapter now closed, Kross is officially a free agent and free to explore the next stage of his career.
Many believe this could be part of an intentional storyline designed to blur the lines between reality and fiction, keeping fans guessing while setting the stage for a dramatic and creatively reimagined return for Karrion Kross.
