Two New Matches Now Official For WWE SummerSlam – During tonight’s episode of WWE RAW, Drew McIntyre quickly interrupted a segment featuring IMPERIUM, demanding that Gunther face him immediately for the Intercontinental title. Gunther said that wouldn’t be happening in front of the “degenerates” of Tampa Bay, but that he would face him at SummerSlam, where he’d embarrass him just like he did at WrestleMania.
The two continued talking back and forth before Ludwig Kaiser stepped in, challenging McIntyre to a match in order to defend Gunther’s honor. After McIntyre won via Claymore, however, things got chaotic. Gunther and the rest of IMPERIUM quickly ambushed McIntyre, with Gunther delivering a big suplex to McIntyre, before Riddle came running down to help Drew.
This allowed McIntyre and Gunther to brawl on their own outside of the ring, where Drew would eventually counter a suplex attempt and powerbomb the Intercontinental champ right through the announce desk.
Also, Ricochet was trying to find Logan after inviting him to meet him face-to-face tonight. Finally, Ricochet took to the ring and demanded that Paul came out, before launching into a diatribe about how Paul has no respect from anyone because he’s a “prick,” before challenging him to a match at SummerSlam.
Paul would eventually show up, attacking Ricochet from behind and knocking him out of the ring before taking out his phone and beginning to gloat.
Paul laughed and said he would be accepting Ricochet’s challenge, but his gloating was quickly stopped by Ricochet, who jumped back into the ring and delivered a superkick to Paul, before taking his phone and bragging that he’d see him at SummerSlam.
Brock Lesnar and Logan Paul are both announced for 7/31 WWE RAW.
