KO did not wrestle tonight on RAW. Instead, it was Sami Zayn in a singles match against North American Champion Dominik Mysterio. Owens did not wrestle over the weekend at the live events. He last wrestled on RAW last week in Atlanta where he and Zayn worked against The Judgment Day’s Damian Priest and Dominik Mysterio.
Owens and Zayn are the World Tag Team Champions. It’s unclear if the injury will affect the status of the titles. Broken ribs can heal in sometime around 6 weeks, which means that KO would not be able to wrestle at SummerSlam.
Also, Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley was scheduled to wrestle Liv Morgan. However, the match never happened and before the bell, Ripley beat Morgan down in a way that came across like Morgan was being written off TV. Ripley beat up and “Pillmanized” (chair on arm spot) Morgan’s arm.
Trainers and officials were seen checking on Morgan as they were about to go to commercial break and Morgan could be heard saying that she could not move her arm.
As you will recall, last week in Atlanta, Morgan was being checked on after a barricade spot and she was seen wearing a sling as she left the arena. Morgan assured fans that she was okay but it seems as if they wanted to keep the injury quiet so that they could write her off this week.
