Blake Monroe's SmackDown Debut Match Remains on Hold

Blake Monroe’s official in-ring debut on the WWE SmackDown main roster remains on hold following a chaotic turn of events on the August 21 episode. Monroe was scheduled to finally compete in her first official match against Giulia. However, the bout never officially commenced after Monroe launched a sneak attack during Giulia’s ring entrance.

Monroe ambushed Giulia from behind before bringing the brawl into the ring. She leveled Giulia with a Neutralizer on the mat and immediately exited, leaving her scheduled opponent laid out and keeping her official debut match pending.

“The Glamour” Demands Title Opportunity

In a backstage Exclusive video released by WWE shortly after the show, Monroe made it clear that a standard singles match with Giulia was beneath her expectations:

“That’s not my debut. I didn’t wait four months getting called up to SmackDown, and I didn’t wait nine years to make it to the WWE to have my debut like that. I’m World Championship material. So you find Chelsea Green, you bring her to me, and then you get The Glamour. Until then, get out my face.”

Monroe reinforced her stance on social media, posting a brief message reiterating her championship ambitions:

“world championship material, don’t waste my time”

Tensions Escalating in Women’s Division

Monroe’s ultimatum puts direct pressure on the top of the division. Interim WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green is currently sidelined due to injury. During the August 14 episode of SmackDown, General Manager Nick Aldis gave Green a 30-day window to become medically cleared and defend her title, creating a tight timeline for potential challengers.

With Monroe refusing to compete until she receives a title shot, management faces a growing dilemma regarding the main roster debut of “The Glamour.”
