Baron Corbin to Face Lil Yachty at Sunday Night’s Main Event with US Title Implications

The feud over the WWE United States Championship took an unexpected celebrity turn during the August 21 broadcast of Friday Night SmackDown. Recently crowned champion Baron Corbin is set to face rap star Lil Yachty in a special clock-challenge bout at WWE Sunday Night’s Main Event, with major title implications hanging in the balance for Trick Williams.

The situation escalated early in the show when Trick Williams confronted Corbin, demanding an immediate championship rematch following their recent encounters. Corbin flatly rejected Williams’ request, opting to walk away rather than put his United States Title on the line.

Lil Yachty Attacks Corbin to Set Up High-Stakes Challenge

Moments after dismissing Williams, Corbin was blindsided by Lil Yachty in a sudden altercation. Frustrated by the ambush, the United States Champion issued a high-stakes challenge to the hip-hop star aimed at settling the score and silencing Williams once and for all.

Corbin declared that he will grant Williams a future United States Championship rematch, but only under one condition: Lil Yachty must survive five full minutes in the ring against Corbin at Sunday Night’s Main Event.

The Clock Challenge Is Official for Atlanta

Without hesitation, Lil Yachty accepted the challenge, officially booking the five-minute clock match for the upcoming event in Atlanta.

While Corbin looks to dominate the recording artist and close the door on Williams’ title ambitions, Williams must rely on Yachty to withstand the champion’s assault for 300 seconds to secure another shot at reclaiming the United States Championship.
