The lingering mystery surrounding Shinsuke Nakamura’s mystery partner has officially been solved. During the August 21 episode of SmackDown, former New Japan Pro Wrestling star Hiromu Takahashi made his shocking WWE debut, revealing himself under the moniker “KYOKI.”
Nakamura kicked off the segment by reminding the MFTs of his prior warnings. The anticipation culminated when Takahashi emerged to side with the King of Strong Style, instantly altering the dynamic of SmackDown’s tag team division.
Kyoki Arrives to Embrace the Chaos
Taking the microphone, Takahashi introduced himself to the WWE Universe as an international competitor who has fought all across the globe. The debut of Hiromu Takahashi as Kyoki on WWE SmackDown sends a clear message to the entire roster, with Takahashi stating that he has no intention of backing down from anyone. He added that the tougher the competition gets, the more fun he intends to have.
Nakamura echoed those chaotic sentiments, reinforcing his own mindset by declaring that he doesn’t fear chaos—he thrives in it.
Delivering on a Vicious Promise
Takahashi’s arrival marks the payoff to a storyline teased following the August 14 edition of SmackDown. After Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga captured the WWE Tag Team Championships, Nakamura cut an off-air promo warning the new champions that his impending partner was experienced, vicious, and lethal.
With Takahashi now officially alignment with Nakamura, the MFTs find themselves directly in the crosshairs of a terrifyingly unpredictable new duo.
