A major debut took place during the latest WWE SmackDown taping from London, giving fans in attendance a first look at a new addition to the main roster.
Vignettes promoting Blake Monroe had been airing since April, building anticipation for her debut. She briefly appeared in a backstage segment in recent weeks, but her first true main roster moment came during Tuesday’s taping at The O2, where she made an immediate impact in front of her hometown crowd.
Surprise Attack After Giulia Match
The debut unfolded right after a match between Giulia and Kiana James. Once the match concluded, Monroe appeared and attacked Giulia, catching her off guard.
During the segment, Monroe also introduced a new finishing move, adding another layer to her presentation as she begins this new chapter on the main roster.
Career Background and NXT Run
Monroe, 27, wrapped up her time in NXT in April. During her run, she held the Women’s North American Championship once. Before signing with WWE, she had already built a strong international résumé. She previously worked for AEW, where she became Women’s World Champion, and also competed in Japan for Stardom.
Her transition from NXT to the main roster had been expected following the promotional videos, but the timing and execution of her debut added a surprise element for fans in attendance.
Airing Details for SmackDown Episode
