Lyra Valkyria has officially turned heel after attacking Bayley following their failed attempt to capture the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships on the June 22 episode of WWE RAW in London.
The match saw Valkyria and Bayley challenge Brie Bella and Paige for the titles in what was described as a “do or die” opportunity for the duo. Despite entering the match with confidence, Valkyria ended up taking the pinfall, costing her team the championship opportunity once again.
Frustrations boiled over immediately after the match. Bayley attempted to console her partner, but Valkyria snapped and launched a brutal post-match attack. The assault continued even after officials intervened, with Valkyria laying Bayley out with her finisher, Nightwing, before leaving her motionless in the ring.
WWE followed up the angle with a backstage segment featuring interviewer Jackie Redmond attempting to get answers from Valkyria. However, the former tag champion refused to explain her actions or provide any comment, leaving her motivations officially unanswered on-screen.
Valkyria previously held the Women’s Tag Team Championship alongside Becky Lynch, but her partnership with Bayley failed to produce similar success. The loss appears to have been the breaking point that led to her turning on her former ally.
Adding further heat to the situation, Lynch reacted on social media in character, suggesting she had warned Valkyria about Bayley all along.

The sudden shift leaves Bayley without a partner and Valkyria beginning a new direction as a heel on RAW moving forward.
