We are live from the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan, as LA Knight makes his way to the ring to start the show.
Knight wants to talk to ya. He wants to go back to Money in the Bank and he says that Seth and his boys screwed him. Knight says he usually lets things slide, but he had to come back and screw one of his guys out of King of the Ring. Then he got screwed out of King of the Ring and then he screwed the other guy out of King of the Ring. There is only one way this can go. He knows where it ends. Knight says it ends with him and Seth Rollins. He challenges Seth to a match tonight.
Paul Heyman comes out and he introduces himself and mentions who he is with. He tells the people that you don’t boo Seth’s name so he will do it again.
Knight tells Paul to get to his point and he asks Paul why is he here.
Paul asks to enter the ring and Knight allows him.
Paul says there has been a lot of bad blood between Knight and Seth. Paul says he is the biggest LA Knight fan in all of WWE. He says he has been waiting a long time to say “YEAH”. Because of that, Seth has allowed him to say to Knight, as a favor to Paul, it’s time for Knight to get the hell out of Grand Rapids because if you don’t, something really bad is going to happen to you before the end of this night.
Paul tells Knight to have a good evening.
Knight mocks Paul’s voice breaking and he asks if Paul is threatening him. Knight says that Paul is a liar and then he leeches on to anyone with buzz. After Seth, who is next. Knight says he asked for Seth Rollins, he got Paul Heymen, a Paul Heyman who has been talking tough. Knight says a man like him would punch a man like you. Knight says he is not going to do that, yet. He tells Paul if he can’t bring him Seth Rollins, the only thing they can do is LA Knight versus Paul Heyman right now.
Knight says he will turn his back and he will let Paul get in the first shot because if you don’t I will mollywop your ass through Grand Rapids.
Paul leaves the ring. Paul says what he said earlier was not a prediction, it was a spoiler. Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker make their way up the aisle to join Paul.
Paul tells Bron something and he enters the ring. Knight punches and kicks Reed and Bron but Bron with a take down and then they punch and kick Knight and send him to the floor. Reed sends Knight over the ringside barrier. Bron removes the hood on the announce table but LA Knight gets a chair and he hits Bron and Bronson with it as he returns to the ring. Paul takes Bron and Bronson to the back.
We go to commercial.
Backstage:
We are back and Paul tells Bron and Bronson things are in control and in their favor.
Byron Saxton enters and Bron starts to growl but Paul tells him not to attack him. Byron says Bronson will face LA Knight tonight. Paul thanks Byron and lets him leave. Paul says patience is not a virtue, it is a strategy.
Queen of the Ring Semifinals Match: Alexa Bliss vs. Asuka
They lock up and Alexa with a side head lock. Alexa with a shoulder tackle and Asuka stays on her feet. Asuka with kicks and Alexa blocks a kick and hits a back senton. Asuka blocks a kick and applies a waist lock. Alexa with an elbow and Asuka with a flying shoulder tackle. Asuka sends Alexa to the floor with a running hip. Asuka goes to the floor and Alexa drop kicks Asuka off the apron. Asuka returns to the ring and they lock up. Asuka with a wrist lock and Alexa with a reversal. Alexa with a rollup for a near fall. Asuka with a single leg take down into a side head lock. Asuka with a wrist lock and an arm bar. Alexa with a reversal and take down. Asuka with a punch.
Alexa with a knee and Irish whip. Asuka with a back elbow and a boot to Alexa. Asuka with a missile drop kick for a near fall. Asuka with kicks to the head and she turns it into a series of Kawada kicks. Asuka goes for the Asuka Lock but Alexa escapes. Alexa with a shoulder tackle or two. Alexa with a blockbuster. Alexa with a punch and forearm followed by a knee. Alexa with a flip senton for a near fall. Asuka with a back fist and more kicks followed by a German suplex. Asuka with a sliding kick for a near fall. Asuka misses a round kick and Alexa with a rollup for a near fall. Asuka escapes Sister Abigail and Asuka with a rollup for a near fall. Asuka with a round kick and she gets a near fall.
Asuka goes to the turnbuckles. Alexa avoids a missile drop kick and Alexa with a DDT for a near fall. Alexa goes up top and sets for Twisted Bliss but Asuka rolls away and Alexa goes to the mat. Asuka with a body scissors into a cross arm breaker. Asuka turns it into a triangle and then she applies Rings of Saturn. Alexa gets a near fall. Asuka with a neck breaker for a near fall. Asuka sets for the running hip but Alexa iwth a punch. Alexa puts Asuka in the tree of woe and Alexa with a drop kick. Alexa goes up top and goes for Twisted Bliss and Asuka gets her knees up. Asuka with the running hip for the three count.
Winner: Asuka (Advances to Finals against winner of Jade Cargill versus Roxanne Perez)
Backstage:
B Fab says Asuka is making statements and she acts like she never left. Michin says they need to talk about the tag titles. Byron asks Jade Cargill about her match against Roxanne Perez and how does she feel about facing someone as talented as Roxanne and facing Asuka in the finals. Jade says Roxanne is trying to prove herself. Jade says this is a throne room and she is built for royalty. A storm is on the horizon with Asuka. She is not walking into Queen of the Ring to compete, she is in it to reign.
Back to commercial.
Backstage:
We are back and Alexa Bliss is asked by Chelsea Green how she is doing. Green says she should be in the tournament and she would be preparing her Parliament. Charlotte says if her replacement didn’t wait three seconds to tap out, she would have been in the tournament. She says she will make Chelsea tap out. Chelsea calls for a Bank Holiday and leaves. Alexa tells Charlotte she doesn’t need her help. Charlotte says she isn’t helping Alexa.
Aleister Black vs. Kit Wilson
As Black makes his way to the ring, R-Truth attacks Wilson and asks for the mic. He demands John Cena to get out here now, and then slaps the STFU on Wilson.
Truth puts Kit in the STF again. Officials run past Black in the aisle to stop Truth. Jamie Noble talks to Truth and Truth seems to be calmed down. Officials run down to the ring and get Truth off Wilson. Truth leaves the ring.
Winner: No Contest
– We have a video package for Gunther and Goldberg.

Backstage:
Jamie Noble tells Truth to calm down. Truth says he wants Cena now. He says he will kill Cena when he sees him.
Aleister Black shows up and ask Truth why is he getting in his match. Truth says it is nothing personal and had nothing to do with him. Damian Priest shows up and he tells Black that Truth is going through a lot and he wants to talk to Truth. Aleister says goodbye to Ron.
Priest says he used to go around and attack everyone. That is not Ron. He tells Rom to focus his anger on John Cena. Then they will go downtown and celebrate.
– Chelsea Green vs. Charlotte Flair is now official for later tonight.
In the Arena:
Cody Rhodes makes his way to the ring and so does Jey Uso. Time for a lot of YEET.
Jey tells Cody he doesn’t have to say nothing. They have been in the trenches. Still in the trenches. Fighting his family. Winnng the tag titles. Finishing our stories at Wrestlemania. Both have been to the mountaint top. Only room for one of us on Monday. You against me. Me against you. He says he knows Cody will bring it. Jey says he needs his as much as Cody needs his. It ain’t personal. It is business. On Monday Night. After we go to war. There gonna be four letters. One Word.
They do the Predator handshake as Sami Zayn’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring.
Sami says this is nice. He gets to share the ring with two great friends. He gets to share the ring with two of the best this business has to offer. Sami says the three of them standing in this ring and one has never won the World Championship. Sami says he had to miss Wrestlemania but he got to Vegas to congratulate Jey when he won the World Title. Sami tells Cody we waited for years with bated breath to see you finish the story, he was the first one to congratulate Cody. Sami says he hopes you understand it is his time to finish his story.
Randy Orton’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring.
Randy tells Cody, same deal as last week. There is no line he will not cross so he can get to John Cena at SummerSlam and win his 15th World Title. Randy tells Jey he respects the hell out of him. Their families go way back. If they stand across the ring from each other, it will be three letters, one move. Randy says he can speak for everyone when he says one day soon, Sami Zayn will be World Champion. That day is not going to be SummerSlam. You are going to be on the receiving end of the three most dangerous letters in Sports Entertainment: R…K…O!

King of the Ring Semifinals Match: Randy Orton vs. Sami Zayn
They lock up and Sami with a wrist lock. Randy with a reversal into a side head lock. Sami with a wrist lock into an arm bar. Sami with chops and Orton has had enough and he goes to the floor. Sami goes for a dive but he flips back into the ring with an Arabian Press into the ring. They lock up and Randy with a thumb to the eyes when the referee tries to separate them. Orton with European uppercuts and Sami with a thumb to the eyes. Sami sends Orton to the floor and Sami is pulled off the apron. Orton with a back drop driver onto the announce table. Orton with a second back drop driver onto the announce table. Orton sets for a third one but Sami with punches. Orton kicks Sami and Sami avoids being sent into the ring steps. Sami sends Randy’s head into the ring steps. Sami sets for a back drop driver but Orton with a forearm and he sends Sami into the announce table.
Orton gets a near fall. Orton with a punch and he goes to the turnbuckles and he punches Sami. Sami returns the favor from the turnbuckles. Sami with chops to Randy. Randy with a hard Irish whip. Orton with the Garvin Stomp to Sami. Orton with forearms across the chest and a punch. Sami springboards over Randy and hits a clothesline. Sami with a back elbow and he his a double sledge off the turnbuckles. Orton blocks the Blue Thunder Bomb and Orton with elbows and two clotheslines. Sami misses a clothesline and Orton with the power slam. Sami goes to the apron and Randy pulls him into position for the IEDDT.
Randy looks around and he twists to the mat for the RKO push ups. Sami rolls to the floor to avoid the RKO. Orton sends Sami into the announce table. Sami escapes a back drop driver and Sami gives one to Randy. Sami sends Randy back into the ring. Randy misses Sami and he goes shoulder first into the ring post. Sami goes for a Helluva Kick but Orton with a power slam for a near fall. Orton with a clothesline into the corner and Sami misses a Helluva Kick. Sami gets free and Randy goes for an RKO but Sami counters with a Blue Thunder Bomb for a near fall.
Zayn climbs the turnbuckles and jumps down and Orton tries for an RKO and Zayn counters and then runs at Orton with the Helluva Kick but Orton catches him and flattens him with an RKO and gets the win.
Winner: Randy Orton (advances to face winner of Jey Uso versus Cody Rhodes)
– Nia Jax is seen walking backstage and she’s up next after a commercial break.
In the Arena:
We are back and Nia Jax makes her way to the ring.
Nia says you know what’s crazy. Tiffany Stratton approached her to be under her wing because she knew what she could do under her. Tiffany is striving and what did she get? Tiffany betrayed her and has her title.
Tiffany Stratton interrupts and say Nia is that toxic ex you can’t get away from. Maybe you have to admit that she is better than you. Nia says if you are so much better, why don’t you give me my rematch. Tiffany says it is Nia’s lucky day. Next week it is them. She will have more fun adding a few more scars because it won’t be any match, it will be Last Woman Standing.
Nia punches Tiffany. Nia with a spinebuster and a leg drop. Nia stands over Tiffany with the belt in hand. Nia with another leg drop.
Naomi’s music plays and she makes her way to the ring and she has a referee. Nia pulls Naomi from the ring and Naomi gets back on the apron and Nia pulls her down again. Naomi gets drop kicked off the apron onto Nia.
– We have a Byron Saxton narrated video package for CM Punk and John Cena.
Chelsea Green vs. Charlotte Flair
Green with a forearm after Flair focuses on Alba. Flair with a chop and she kicks Alba from the apron. Flair with a cross body for a near fall. Green with a back elbow but Flair with a kick. Alba grabs Flair by the hair and she drops Flair on the top rope. Green gets a near fall. Green with a forearm and a sliding forearm. Green with a rear chin lock and then she stretches Flair. Flair with a neck breaker. Flair floats over and gets a near fall with a rollup but Flair is sent face first into the turnbuckles on the kick out. Green goes up top and hits a missile drop kick for a near fall. Green sends Flair to the floor and Green has the referee check on her mask.
Piper hits Flair while that happens. Green kicks Flair when she returns to the ring. Green with a snap mare and rear chin lock. Flair backs Green into the corner but Green sends Flair to the mat. Flair with a back breaker and she sends Green into the turnbuckles. Flair with forearms and chops. Flair with a fallaway slam. Flair with a round off clothesline for a near fall. Alba gets on the apron and Flair kicks her off the apron. Green with a Rough Ryder for a near fall. The mask comes off and she goes for UnprettiHER but Flair escapes and hits a spear for a near fall. Flair goes for the figure four but Green counters with an inside cradle for a near fall. Flair with the bridging figure four and Green taps.
Winner: Charlotte Flair
After the match, Piper with a back senton to Flair. Alexa Bliss comes to the ring with no music and she goes after Piper and then hits Sister Abigail on Green. Alexa and Flair look at each other across the ring. Alexa offers her hand and Flair walks right past.
Backstage:
Solo asks JC what is he doing and JC says he is going to take out Fatu. Solo says he is going out there alone because he was the only one who could talk to Fatu when he was in charge. He does tell JC to be ready.
We go to commercial.
In the Arena:
Solo Sikoa makes his way to the ring. Solo tells Jacob he is out here in the middle of the ring, all alone, with open arms, willing to talk to him face to face. He says if Jacob is back there, he should come out to clear the air.
Jacob Fatu makes his way to the ring.
Solo says he didn’t come out here to fight Jacob. He wants to make it very clear that he loves Jacob. He has always loved Jacob, no matter what. What he learned as Tribal Chief is how to love and take care of your family. Solo says that is what he is trying to do. Families fight and argue all the time. Then they forgive and move forward. He wants to move forward together and do it as one.
Solo offers his hand and he says nobody saw the potential in Fatu other than him. Nobody wanted him here, except him. That is why he brought him here and he gave him the opportunity to change his life and put food on the table for his family. Solo says he did that because he loves Jacob. Solo says he doesn’t have anybody else. Solo tells Jacob he is all he has and he is all he needs. He asks Jacob to come back to the family. If you won’t say those four words, Solo says he will say them.
He tells Jacob “I Love You, Jacob”.
Fatu asks Solo if he loves him. is this what it comes down to? You loving him. Fatu says the way he sees things is that you have been using him. You have been using him to gain power. You have been using me to fight your battles. You have been using him so you could stay tribal chief. You brought him in so he could bring you fame? You brought me in because you thought he would bring you gold? Fatu tells Solo to look at him when he talks to him.
Fatu says ever since he won this title, you are the one who has been acting different. Maybe he is not the problem. Fatu says he figured it out. Maybe the problem is this . . . Maybe the problem is this title. Fatu puts the title between him and Solo. If that is what he thinks it is, he tells Solo to fight him for it. Fight him for this title. Fatu says he will warn Solo one more time. If you ever think about coming this way, you know what he is about and you know what is popping with him. He says he is all gas no brakes.
Solo tries to punch Fatu mid catchphrase.
Fatu with a head butt and kicks.
JC hits Fatu from behind and Solo clips Fatu. JC kicks Fatu in the corner and Solo joins in.
Jimmy Uso’s music plays and he makes his way tot he ring and he super kicks JC and Solo. JC with a clothesline to Jimmy. JC with forearms to Jimmy. Solo yells at his brother and Fatu sees what is going on and Fatu with a running back elbow to JC and a super kick to Solo. Fatu kicks Solo and he head butts him it he corner. Fatu with a super kick to JC and a running hip to Solo.
Fatu and Jimmy look at each other. Fatu sets for the double jump moonsault but Solo rolls to the floor. Fatu walks over to Jimmy because the title belt is near him and he picks it up.
We go to commercial.
Bronson Reed vs. LA Knight
Knight comes through the crowd and attacks Bron before sending Reed to the floor. Reed has to hold Bron back.
Knight punches Reed and he connects with a back elbow and punches. Reed blocks an Irish whip and he Irish whips Knight but Knight moves and Reed hits the ring post. Knight with kicks. Reed gets Knight up but Knight counters and tries for a sunset flip but Reed does not go over and Knight avoids a seated splash. Reed sends Knight to the apron and Reed catches Knight on a slingshot move back into the ring. Knight sends Reed back into the turnbuckles but Reed holds on to the ropes when Knight goes for the leaping neck breaker. Reed misses a back senton. Knight with a bulldog off the turnbuckles. Knight goes for the YEAHple’s Elbow but Reed rolls to the floor. Knight a drop kick through the ropes and a springboard cross body onto Reed. Knight with a forearm off the ringside barrier. Reed with a punch and Knight pulls Reed into the ring post a few times.
Knight with punches. Knight with a shoulder tackle but Reed is the one who stays on his feet. Knight with a clothesline and Reed does not move. Reed with a back body drop. Reed with a punch to Knight and he gives Knight a hard Irish whip. Reed with a slam and an elbow drop. Reed with an Irish whip and clothesline in the corner. Reed puts Knight on the turnbuckles and sets for a superplex. Knight pushes Reed off the turnbuckles. Knight with the double jump elbow drop for a near fall. Knight slaps his hands to set or the BFT but Reed pushes him away and hits a head butt Reed with a Death Valley Driver for a near fall.
Reed goes for a power bomb but Knight counters with a DDT. Knight knocks Bron off the apron. Reed is sent to the floor when Knight drops down. Bron with a spear to Knight.
Winner: LA Knight (by disqualification)
After the match, Reed holds Knight for a WARP Spear. Reed goes up top for a Tsunami. Reed with another Tsunami. The referees are intimidated out of the ring. Bron tells Reed to do it again and he goes up top and hits another Tsunami.
We go to commercial.
– Next week on Smackdown, Zelina Vega faces Giulia for the US title. The Wyatts face the Street Profits for the tag titles. Tiffany Stratton faces Nia Jax for the Women’s World Title in a Last Woman Standing Match.
Backstage:
Jacob Fatu says he spoke to the man and the man makes everything possible. Next week, on Saturday, him and Solo one on one. He is going to dog walk Solo’s ass. He tells Solo he better get in where he fits in.
John Cena vs. R-Truth
Truth with a double leg take down and punches. Cena goes to the floor and Truth follows. Truth with punches to Cena. Truth sends Cena into the announce table and punches him. Truth sends Cena into the apron and they return to the ring. Truth with a hard Irish whip. Truth with another hard Irish whip. Truth and Cena exchange punches and Truth with two flying shoulder tackles and a Blue Thunder Bomb. Truth sets for the Five Knuckle Shuffle but Cena rolls to the floor. Cena with a back elbow to Truth. Cena sends Truth into the ring post. Cena with a head butt and he chokes Truth in the ropes. Cena kicks Truth and he kicks Truth in the back.
Cena with a flying shoulder tackle and he gives Truth a second one. Cena with a Blue Thunder Bomb. Cena sets for the Five Knuckle Shuffle and Cena hits it. Cena gets Truth up but Truth escapes and hits a Thesz Press and punches. Truth with a splash into the corner and Cena goes to the floor. Cena takes the title belt.
Cena makes his way to the back but Truth stops Cena and punches him.
Cena hits Truth with the belt.
Winner: R Truth (by disqualification)
Afer the match, CM Punk’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring to chase Cena.
Cena punches Punk but Punk punches back. Cena kicks Punk in the ding ding when Punk tries to hit Cena with the title belt. Cena hits Punk with the title belt. Cena goes under the ring and he gets a table. Cena sets up the table. Punk pulls himself up and Cena hits Punk again with the title belt. Cena gets Punk on his shoulders and he hits an Attitude Adjustment through the table.
Cena gets a mic and he starts to chuckle as he sits on the turnbuckles. Cena tells Punk as you lay there in your most uncomfortable, I hope you can listen and digest. Before he leaves in six months with this title, he has a lot to get off his chest.
Cena says he doesn’t hate Punk. He doesn’t dislike Punk. He says he likes Punk. He likes him more than anyone who shared a locker room with him. He hates the idea that you are the best in the world. Cena says he is the greatest of all time. You are better than him at one thing. You are the best bulls***er in the world. He said a curse word so this is going off the rails.
The truth is that he is jealous of Punk. He is jealous that you have conned the people to believe that you are the best in the world. They chant for you. They sing to you. They don’t believe a god damn thing you say. You change your values as much as Cena changes his t-shirts. You are a loud mouth opportunity if you have a chance. Cena says hello to Claudio Castagnoli, Nic Nemeth, and Matt Cardona.
Cena says there is nobody back there to cut his mic to save your ass because he is your only friend. Who gave you the stage for the pipe bomb? You regurgitate the same five mic moves of doom. You are promo potato salad. You are no longer the voice of the voiceless, you are a millinaire, despite yourself. You aren’t a ‘punk’, you are a capitalist. You aren’t against TKO, you are Mr. TKO. Your tweets are strong, you actions are weak. In Saudi Arabia, you are going to hear a lot of loud music when everyone realizes that Cena has been the greatest of all time.
They know. They know that you were the best in the world for seven minutes, fourteen years ago. If after Night of Champions, you are delusional enough to believe you are the best in the world, it is a small world after all.
Cena says ‘You’re Welcome Grand Rapids”.
Cena tells Punk to bring his A Game to Night of Champions. The mood is starting to change.
Cena says it is fine that the referee is checking on Punk because he isn’t goiing to do any more damage because he has a big match next week. The Best in the World against the Greatest of All Time for the Undisputed Championship. You will sing and you will chant, but he knows you idiots are smart enough to see the truth. The champ is here.
Cena tells USA he doesn’t need the last two and a half minutes because Elvis has left the building and he doesn’t need any more mother fudging time. He thanks Punk for letting him steal his promo.
