Triple H Confirms Drew McIntyre Is "Totally Fine" After Scary WWE Backlash Spot

Triple H Confirms Drew McIntyre Is “Totally Fine” After Scary WWE Backlash Spot – Drew McIntyre appears to have avoided serious injury following a frightening moment during the United States Championship Fatal 4-Way Match at WWE Backlash: St. Louis on Saturday night.

During the post-show press conference, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H addressed McIntyre’s condition after a dangerous spot involving Damian Priest. As the two brawled away from the ring and into the crowd, Priest delivered a South of Heaven chokeslam off a production platform onto multiple tables. Unfortunately, McIntyre’s head missed the tables entirely, instead striking the exposed concrete floor.

Triple H provided a reassuring update, stating: “Luckily, everybody is healthy. I think Priest got a tooth that he’s hoping will stay inside of his head for a couple days here and get solid again. Other than that, Drew McIntyre, a little banged up but totally fine.”

Reports had emerged earlier that WWE’s medical team evaluated McIntyre for a possible concussion following the impact. While he was indeed checked out, the former WWE Champion seems to have dodged a worst-case scenario.

The brutal move effectively took both Priest and McIntyre out of the match. That left LA Knight and Jacob Fatu as the final contenders. Knight looked poised to capture the U.S. Title, setting up for an elbow drop off the ropes and onto Fatu through a table. However, Solo Sikoa interfered, pulling Fatu off the table just in time. In a shocking twist, Jeff Cobb made his WWE debut by jumping the barricade and attacking Knight. After slamming Knight into the ring post and barricade, Cobb rolled him back into the ring, where a confused but opportunistic Fatu finished him off to retain the United States Championship.

While the match was full of chaos and hard-hitting moments, Triple H’s comments confirmed that all involved walked away without major injuries.
