Alexa Bliss Makes In-Ring Return on WWE SmackDown – Alexa Bliss officially returned to WWE television during the May 9 edition of SmackDown, stepping into the ring for the first time since the Elimination Chamber event earlier this year. Her return came as a surprise partner for Zelina Vega in a tag team match against Chelsea Green and Piper Niven.
Although Bliss had been reported to be backstage at the show earlier in the day, her on-screen appearance was not confirmed until the moment her music hit during the broadcast. The match was originally set up with Vega needing to find a mystery partner, and both Green and Niven seemed confident she wouldn’t succeed—until Bliss made her way to the ring to a strong reaction from the Dayton crowd.
The match ended with Bliss scoring the pinfall for her team after delivering the Sister Abigail DDT to Chelsea Green, marking a successful return to in-ring action.
Later in the night, Bliss was featured in a brief backstage segment alongside Charlotte Flair. The two exchanged a moment of mutual acknowledgment, with Bliss suggesting they “have a chat,” teasing the possibility of a new storyline or alliance in the weeks to come.
Bliss recently signed a new WWE contract around Royal Rumble weekend and had made only a few appearances since then. Her absence from WrestleMania 41 was reportedly due to creative plans involving the mysterious “Wyatt Sicks” faction, though it remains unclear whether those plans are still in motion.
