Shotzi Set for MLW Debut Following WWE Exit – Shotzi is already making her next move in professional wrestling following her confirmed WWE departure. The former WWE Superstar is now heavily linked to Major League Wrestling, with MLW teasing her debut at their upcoming “Summer of the Beasts” event on June 26 at the Melrose Ballroom in New York City.
During the latest episode of MLW Azteca Lucha, a vignette aired featuring ominous text that read: “June 26. Hearts Turn Black. The Warning SHOTZ Will Be Fired,” alongside her signature tank imagery. While her name wasn’t explicitly stated, the promo was a clear nod to Shotzi, who had previously told fans they would be “seeing her soon” following news of her WWE exit.
This would mark one of Shotzi’s first public bookings since confirming she is leaving WWE. Her contract is set to officially expire in July, but the June MLW event will seemingly be her first stop post-WWE.
Shotzi’s run with WWE lasted five years, and she reflected on that time with deep appreciation during a recent interview on SiriusXM’s Busted Open Radio. She singled out her early stint in NXT as the highlight of her career. “My year and a half that I had at NXT when I first started was the greatest year of my life. I was the happiest I had ever been,” she said.
She praised the creative freedom and understanding she received during that time: “I felt like people really understood me, and I felt like I was presenting myself the way I wanted people to view me.”
Shotzi also offered praise for the WWE women’s locker room. “Going into WWE, it’s a little intimidating… but the women are awesome and they all have each other’s backs and like, I’m just so thankful that I got to be a part of that for the five years that I was there,” she added.
With a unique presentation, charisma, and a fearless in-ring style, Shotzi quickly became a fan favorite in NXT before moving to the main roster. Her entrance with a mini tank and punk-rock aesthetic made her stand out, and her leap to MLW now opens a new chapter in her career—one that fans are eager to witness.
