Date and Location for WWE Evolution 2 – WWE may finally be moving forward with a long-awaited sequel to its historic all-women’s pay-per-view, Evolution. According to new reports, internal discussions are heating up about holding a second Evolution premium live event this July, with two possible locations and dates currently in play.
BodySlam initially reported that WWE had plans to hold Evolution 2 on July 5th at the Mohegan Sun Casino & Resort in Uncasville, Connecticut. This location would mark a return to the Northeast, close to where many WWE events are traditionally staged.
However, a follow-up report from PWInsider adds a new twist to the story. The outlet notes that there have also been active discussions within WWE about potentially staging Evolution 2 on the weekend of July 12 in Atlanta, Georgia. If confirmed, that would likely mean a Saturday, July 12, 2025 date for the event. This Atlanta show could be timed to coincide with a scheduled Saturday Night’s Main Event taping, creating a full weekend of major WWE programming in the city.
While no official announcement has been made yet, sources caution that plans are still fluid. As of now, neither date nor location is finalized, and WWE could pivot based on scheduling logistics or strategic considerations.
The original Evolution event took place on October 28, 2018, at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York. The groundbreaking pay-per-view featured stars from all WWE brands, including legends and then-current champions, and was widely praised by fans and critics alike. Despite its success, WWE has not held a follow-up event in the nearly seven years since.
The growing push for a second Evolution comes at a time when WWE’s women’s division has featured a wealth of talent across RAW, SmackDown, and NXT, including the likes of Rhea Ripley, IYO SKY, Bianca Belair, Giulia, Roxanne Perez, and more. A 2025 iteration of Evolution would provide a major platform to spotlight this current generation of stars, as well as potentially involve returning legends or surprise appearances.
Fans eager for the return of an all-women’s showcase will be keeping a close eye on WWE’s official announcements over the coming weeks.
