5/24 WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event Preview

Drew McIntyre and Damian Priest will finally look to settle their feud inside a Steel Cage. The animosity between the two intensified following their Sin City Street Fight at WrestleMania 41 Night Two, where McIntyre came out on top. Both men also came up short in the Fatal Four-Way U.S. Title match at Backlash, and now, they meet again in a setting that guarantees no interference and no escape.

Also on tap, CM Punk will step back into a WWE ring for the first time since Night One of WrestleMania 41 as he teams with Sami Zayn to battle Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker in tag team action. All four men have been tangled in heated conflict in recent weeks on RAW, especially after repeated ambushes on World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso. Punk and Zayn have stood by Jey’s side, and tonight’s tag match is expected to be anything but orderly.

Speaking of Jey Uso, the World Heavyweight Champion will defend his title for the first time since defeating Seth Rollins on May 5. Standing across from him will be Logan Paul, who’s repeatedly blindsided Uso with his infamous right hand in recent weeks. With momentum on his side and a championship opportunity in hand, Paul will look to shock the world once again.

Rounding out the night, R-Truth will live out a lifelong dream as he goes one-on-one with his childhood hero, Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena. While the title won’t be on the line, this match carries personal stakes for Truth, who tried to protect Cena during his match against Randy Orton at Backlash only to be dropped with an RKO for his efforts.
