Jey Uso and Pete Dunne Advance in Intercontinental #1 Contender Tournament

The August 26 episode of WWE RAW kicked off the Intercontinental Championship Number One Contender’s Tournament with the first two of four scheduled matches.

In the opening bout, Jey Uso emerged victorious over Kofi Kingston and Karrion Kross. Uso secured the win with a spear and a frog splash to Kross.

The second match saw Pete Dunne defeat The Miz and Xavier Woods. During the match, Woods attempted a springboard elbow drop but was pulled off the apron by Dunne, who then executed the Bitter End on Miz for the pinfall victory.

Later in the show, Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker addressed both Jey Uso and Pete Dunne. He congratulated them on their wins but issued a stern warning. Breakker emphasized that no member of his family has ever been defeated by a member of Jey’s family, implying that Jey wouldn’t be the first. He also downplayed Dunne’s threat, asserting his dominance and promising that the worst is yet to come.

Next week’s RAW will feature the remaining qualifying matches for the tournament. Bronson Reed, Sheamus, and Ludwig Kaiser will compete in one match, while Ilja Dragunov, Dragon Lee, and Dominik Mysterio will face off in the other.
