Dominik Mysterio Wins Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania 41

Dominik Mysterio Wins Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania 41 – In a shocking turn of events, Dominik Mysterio captured the WWE Intercontinental Championship in a chaotic Fatal Four-Way Match at WrestleMania 41 Sunday, overcoming Bron Breakker, Penta El Zero Miedo, and Finn Bálor. Despite Bron confidently declaring himself a “129% favorite” heading into the bout, it was “Dirty Dom” who walked away with gold—thanks in part to timely interference and his signature opportunism.

The match opened with Breakker going after Penta, but quickly turned into a temporary alliance between Bálor and Mysterio as they sent Breakker to the outside. Penta took control early with a flurry of offense, including a headscissors takedown and a diving crossbody. His momentum was cut short when Breakker delivered a punishing spear mid-springboard attempt.

Breakker dominated with power moves, press-slamming Bálor into a powerslam and spearing Mysterio for a close two-count. Bálor tried to regroup with a Sling Blade, while Penta kept landing high-impact strikes and combinations, including Sacrifice and a hesitation kick to both Bálor and Mysterio.

The action escalated as Breakker executed a double German suplex on Penta and Bálor, only to hit the ring post while attempting a spear. Mysterio capitalized with a slingshot senton and began delivering the Three Amigos suplexes on Penta before Bálor halted his momentum. Together, Mysterio and Bálor hit a double suplex on Penta and then attempted to do the same to Breakker, but were overpowered with a double suplex of their own.

Breakker continued his dominance with overhead belly-to-belly suplexes and even hit a Frankensteiner on Bálor for a near fall. The tide turned when Carlito interfered, pulling Penta out of the ring after a Canadian Destroyer on Mysterio and slamming him into the announce table. Breakker launched himself from one announce table to the other with a spear on Carlito.

Back in the ring, Breakker nailed a spear on Penta. Just when it looked like he would secure the win, Mysterio dropkicked him into the ropes and landed the 619. Mysterio attempted to go up top, but was crotched by Bálor, who followed up with a Sling Blade and a running dropkick into the corner on Breakker.

Bálor then delivered Coup de Grace to Breakker and went for the pin—only for Mysterio to come flying in with a Frog Splash, breaking the count and stealing the win. The victory marks Mysterio’s first run as Intercontinental Champion and caps off one of the most unpredictable matches of the entire WrestleMania 41 weekend.
