Paul Heyman Aligns with Seth Rollins, Turns on Roman Reigns and CM Punk – As previously reported in March, Paul Heyman was expected to play a major role at WrestleMania 41. In a twist few could have predicted, Paul Heyman played a pivotal role in the outcome of Sunday’s main event, aligning himself with Seth Rollins and turning on both Roman Reigns and CM Punk in one of the most dramatic betrayals in recent WWE history.
The highly anticipated triple threat match featured CM Punk, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins. Heyman accompanied Punk to the ring, seemingly reaffirming his loyalty to the man he once famously dubbed his “best friend.” But the events that unfolded painted a much different picture.
The match itself was a chaotic showcase of callbacks and high-impact action. Rollins countered a spear from Reigns with a Pedigree. He taunted Reigns by shouting that he had neither the Bloodline nor Jon Moxley (formerly Dean Ambrose in WWE) to rely on. Reigns answered with brutality, powerbombing both opponents through a table and nearly sealing the win. Punk landed a GTS on Rollins, followed by Reigns delivering a spear to Punk, and Rollins returning the favor with a Stomp on Reigns.
But it was the finish that shook the foundation of WrestleMania.
As Punk stood in the ring, Paul Heyman tossed him a steel chair. Just as Punk prepared to swing at Reigns, Heyman stepped into the ring behind him and delivered a shocking low blow. As Punk crumpled to the mat, Heyman screamed, “You made me choose!” He then handed the chair to Reigns, who struck Punk with it.
However, the betrayal didn’t end there.
With Reigns preparing to use the chair on Rollins, Heyman struck again—delivering a low blow to The Tribal Chief. Heyman slid the chair to Rollins and stepped back into the corner. Rollins cracked Reigns with the chair, then followed with a Stomp to secure the pinfall.
The show ended with Paul Heyman raising Seth Rollins’ hand as the two walked up the ramp, having left a trail of carnage—and two betrayed icons—in their wake.
This heel turn marks the end of an era for Heyman’s long association with Reigns and adds a new chapter to his storied WWE legacy. As for CM Punk and Roman Reigns, the fallout is sure to be explosive.
