Intercontinental Championship And Tornado Tag Match Announced For 9/4 WWE RAW – Next week, Chad Gable is set to face Gunther once again in a singles match. Gunther announced the upcoming match during a promo on tonight’s WWE RAW episode, where he also mocked Gable’s victory over him by count out on August 21.
During the promo, Gable entered the ring and confidently stated that it would only take him three seconds to defeat Gunther, referring to the time it takes for a pinfall. This match will mark the third singles encounter between Gunther and Gable. The initial match on the July 31 episode of RAW saw Gunther emerge victorious. Gable then secured a win on the August 21 episode after Gunther was counted out of the match.
In addition to the Gable vs. Gunther rematch, WWE also announced that Drew McIntyre and Matt Riddle will team up to take on the Viking Raiders (Erik and Ivar) in a Tornado Tag Team Match. McIntyre and Riddle have been engaged in a rivalry with the Viking Raiders, and tensions escalated during the August 28 episode when McIntyre’s outburst inadvertently led to the Viking Raiders’ victory over The New Day. This tag team match reflects the ongoing storyline development between these two teams.
