WWE SmackDown Results (4/7) – This week’s show kicks off with an in memory of Buschwacker Butch graphic airs to acknowledge the passing of the WWE legend.

From there, we see a way too extended video package showing the key highlights from night one and night two of WrestleMania Goes Hollywood.

We are live from the Moda Center in Portland, OR, as The Brawling Brutes make their way out for our first match of the night. Imperium is next.

Imperium vs. The Brawling Brutes

Butch and Vinci start things off and Vinci with a waist lock take down or two.  Butch with a clothesline.  Butch with a forearm in the corner and Ridge tags in.  Ridge misses a short arm clothesline and Vinci with a springboard cross body.  Kaiser tags in and kicks Ridge in the back and gets a near fall.  Kaiser with a front face lock but Ridge with a forearm and he tags Butch in.  Butch goes up top and hits a double stomp to the arm.  Vinci tags in and Butch with a drop toe hold and he stomps on the elbow.  Vinci with an Irish whip but Butch with a boot.  Gunther and Sheamus have some words and Kaiser pushes Butch off the turnbuckles to Vinci for a delayed suplex and he gets a near fall.  Sheamus and Ridge get in the ring.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Gunther with a reverse chin lock on Butch.  Butch with a jaw breaker but Gunther with a boot to Butch and he knocks Sheamus off the apron.  Gunther goes for a sleeper but Butch pulls at the fingers to get out of the hold.  Vinci tags in and goes for a German suplex but Butch lands on his feet and he kicks Vinic.  Ridge and Kaiser tag in and Ridge with a back drop and clothesline.  Ridge with an arm trapped over head belly-to-belly suplex.  Kaiser with a punch but Ridge blocks a Tiger Driver.  Ridge with an Alabama Slam for a near fall.  Ridge misses a splash into the corner and Kaiser with a kick.  Vinci with a tag and they all kick Ridge in the corner.

Gunther tags in and he fights his way out of the corner for a moment but he walks into a chop.  Gunther knocks Sheamus off the apron and then hits a running drop kick and a power bomb but Butch makes the save.  Gunther sends Butch to the floor and then Gunther puts Ridge in a Boston Crab.  Ridge tries to get to his corner to make the tag and he makes the tag to Sheamus.  They exchange many forearms.  Sheamus with a clothesline and a running power slam.  Gunther rolls to the apron and Sheamus sets for the forearms.  Sheamus connects with ten and then misses a Brogue kick.  Gunther with a German suplex.  Sheamus with a foerarm and Gunther with a boot.  Sheamus blocks a power bomb and Sheamus with an Air Raid Crash for a near fall.  

Kaiser with a reverse suplex to Butch.  Ridge sends Kaiser to teh floor.  Vinci and Kaiser go high and low on Ridge.  Butch with a moonsault onto Kaiser.  Sheamus with a knee as Vinci comes off the ropes.  Sheamus with a Brogue Kick to Vinci for the three count.

Winners: The Brawling Brutes

We go to commercial.

– We are back with highlights from Monday’s RAW, culminated with Brock Lesnar’s brutal attack on Cody Rhodes.

Backstage:

Kayla Braxton is with Paul Heyman and Solo Sikoa. Paul says there is no booing at the name Paul Heyman. Kayla asks Paul if he knows why Brock did what he did. Paul asks why is this night different than any other nights.  He says he will PASS OVER her interrogatory and he will address Roman.  He points out that the Bloodline main evented both nights of Wrestlemania thanks to Roman Reigns.  He is approaching one thousand nights as champion.

Jey Uso arrices and he says he hasn’t seen Jimmy and asks Paul if he knows where he is. Paul tells Jey that Jimmy is not here this evening.  Paul says Roman wanted Jimmy to watch at home while Jey takes out Sami Zayn all by himself.  To cement his legacy on the Island of Relevancy by solving the Sami Zayn Problem.

– Ricochet makes his way to the ring. He will face Ivar of the Viking Raiders after anothe commercial.

Ricochet vs. Ivar

Ricochet with punches and Ivar tosses Ricochet into the corner but misses a splash.  Ricochet with punches and a handstand head scissors.  Ricochet with a drop kick that sends Ivar to the floor.  Ivar gets back on the apron and Ricochet with a springboard drop kick.  Ricochet with a suicide dive but Ivar catches Ricochet and sends him into the apron.  Ivar with a cross body against the apron.

They return to the ring and Ivar with a punch.  Ivar with back elbows.  Ivar puts Ricochet on the turnbuckles and Ricochet with punches.  Ricochet with a kick to the head and he goes for a sunset flip but Ivar does not go over.  Ivar with a dead lift suplex but Ricochet lands on his feet.  Ricochet with a jumping knee but Ivar with a knee.  Ivar goes for a springboard move but Ricochet with a drop kick.

Ricochet tries to get Ivar on his shoulders but his back gives out.  Ivar with a spin kick of doom for a near fall.  Ivar goes to the turnbuckles.  Ricochet with punches and he goes to the turnbuckles as well.  Ivar knocks Ricochet off the turnbuckles to the apron.  Ricochet with a springboard Frankensteiner.

Ricochet goes up top for a shooting star press and he htis it for the three count.

Winner:  Ricochet

Backstage:

We see Kevin and Sami in the locker room.  Sami asks Kevin if he was staring at the titles.  Kevin says he was leering.  Sami says this is their first Smackdown as tag team champions.  Kevin mentions Sami’s match against Jey and it can end this Bloodline stuff.  Kevin says after tonight, they are done with them.  Sami says it feels that something is off.  Sami says he can’t shake this feeling and he says he needs to talk to Jey.  Kevin wants to know what Sami needs to talk to Jey about.

Sami says they did what they said they would do and win the tag titles.  It is all crumbling but Sami says he feels an obligation to talk to Jey.

Kevin asks Sami if he is going to waltz in there and Jey will want to talk to him?  It will make Jey more dangerous.  Kevin says he knows he can’t talk Sami out of this, but he tells Sami it is a bad idea and he shouldn’t do it. Sami tells Kevin he is right, but he has to do it.  Sami tells Kevin it will be okay.

– Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan make their way to the ring. They will face Natalya and Shotzi after a commercial.

Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan vs. Natalya and Shotzi

In a pre-recorded video before the match, Natalya says they are here to prove that they are the ones to challenge for the tag titles.  Shotzi says they aren’t ready for some ballsy baddies.

Raquel with a shoulder tackle to Natalya.  Shotzi tags in and Natalya sends Raquel to the floor and Shotzi with a suicide dive.  Liv drop kicks Natalya.  Shotzi with a near fall.  Raquel blocks a tornado DDT.  Shotzi with a knee and a springboard head scissors attempt that Raquel blocks and applies a stretch muffler.  Liv tags in and Liv with a springboard drop kick.  

Liv with a wraparound DDT for a near fall.  Natalya pulls Shotzi to the corner and makes the tag.  Natalya blocks ObLIVion and they alternate near falls.  Natalya with a German suplex and a discus clothesline for a near fall.  Shotzi with a cross body to Raquel and Shotzi tags in.  Shotzi with an assisted Asai DDT.  They set for a Hart Attack but Raquel with a shoulder tackle to Natalya and Liv with a tornado DDT and ObLIVion for the three count.

Winners:  Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan

Backstage:

We see Xavier Woods and Riddick Moss playing WWE 2K23.  LA Knight shows up and he says there was one thing missing from Wrestlemania and it is LA Knight.  Then Woods was playing video games. Woods asks Knight if he is angry his dad didn’t pat him on the head and say good job.  Woods reminds Knight he beat him before and he will do it again. Knight says Woods will be playing Knight’s game as he breaks a game controller.

– Triple H walks in the back as we go to commercical.

In the Arena:

As we settle back in from the commercial break, we hear the “King of Kings” theme by Motorhead as WWE executive Paul “Triple H” Levesque makes his way down and heads to the ring in his suit and tie with a microphone in-hand.

Hunter says as long as there is breath in his body, that never gets old.  He welcomes everyone to Smackdown and says there is nothing in the world like Wrestlemania.  The greatest athletes from around the world make history on the grandest stage of them all.  In a place where hearts are broken and dreams are fulfilled.  This year’s Wrestlemania exceeded all expectations.  Millions of fans watched around the world while over 161,000 people packed SoFi Stadium over two nights to break all records. If there is a record, they broke it, including a billion views online.  As great as Wrestlemania was, it is behind them.  We look to the future.  

Hunter says he is here to talk about the future.  He asks if you are ready.  Then he asks if you are READY.

In a few short weeks, it is time for the WWE draft.  A night that changes the future and destiny of every superstar.  The draft will be bigger than ever before.  Every superstar is eligible for the draft.  When it is all said and done, the draft will change the game.

Speaking of changing the game, Hunter introduces Smackdown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley.

Rhea makes her way to the ring with Dominik Mysterio, Damian Priest, and Finn Balor. Hunter shakes hands with all members of THE Judgment Day.

Rhea says April 1, 2023 will be known as the night sports entertainment changed forever.  Rhea Ripley did the impossible.  She destroyed and dethroned fourteen time champion Charlotte Flair.  She says it is time for everyone to rise for Mami.

Finn takes the mic and says he wants to talk about Edge.  What kind of sicko has to resort to splitting his head open to get a win.  Who is the real winner?  Even though I got 14 staples in my head, Edge is nowhere to be seen and Finn is still standing.  

Dom says at Wrestlemania, he decided not to show aggression to his dad.  Rhea whispers something to Dom.

Dom can’t get a single word out for what seems like an eternity, as the fans completely drown him out with loud boos every time he attempts to speak.

After a lot of “you suck” chantes, Dom says a man who lays his hands on his own son sucks.  Dom says he pulled his punches because at the end of the day, he knew he couldn’t hurt his dad.  Dom says he loves Rey but he does not know if Rey can say the same thing.  Dom says he saw the anger in his father’s eyes.  Dom speaks in Spanish and then says he knows where the lines are drawn.  As far as things are concerned, you and the rest of your family can go to hell.  You can take Bad Bunny and your little friends with you.

We see what happened over the weekend and at Raw.

Priest addresses Bad Bunny and he says that Dominik his his brother.  He says he hopes Bad Bunny can find it in his heart to forgive him.  Priest says he has forgiven Bunny for what he did to him.

Rey Mysterio music hits and he makes his way to the ring with the LWO for their tag match. But first, we go to commercial.

Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar vs. Damian Priest and Dominik Mysterio

Dom does not want to face his father so he tags in Priest.  Priest with forearms and punches.  Priest follows with kicks in the corner.  Priest sends Rey into the corner and Dom tags in.  Dom punches Rey while Priest holds Rey.  Dom kicks Rey and he gives Rey a hard Irish whip to the sternum.  Dom with forearms to Rey followed by some punches.  Dom with a kick to the shoulder.  Dom with a forearm and he hits a suplex for a near fall.  Dom with an Irish whip but Rey gets his boots up.  Dom stops Rey from making the tag but Santos tags in when Rey lands on his feet on a suplex attempt.  Santos with a kick to Dom and a kick from the apron.  Escobar with a cross body and a series of tilt-a-whirl back breakers.  Santos sends Rey into Priest for a head scissors that sends Priest to the floor.  Escobar and Rey with stereo suicide dives.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Priest with a slam to Santos for a near fall.  Priest stretches Santos.  Santos with elbows and forearms.  Priest boxes the ears and he hits a flatliner for a near fall.  Dom tags in and he applies a front face lock.  Santos tries to get to his corner to make the tag but Dom with a knee to stop him.  Santos with a back body drop and Rey tags in .  Rey with a clothesline to Dom and a kick to Priest.  Rey with a head scissors take down and kick in the corner.  Dom with an Irish whip and Rey floats over.  Dom with a Michinoku Driver for a near fall.  Dom with a knee and a sunset flip but you don’t sunset flip Rey so he rolls thorugh and hits a drop kick on Dom.  Rey with a drop kick to Priest to knock him off the apron.  Rey with a quebrada for a near fall.  Rey drop kicks Dom into the ropes.  Rey goes for a 619 but Rhea pulls Dom off the ropes.  Vega with a head scissors off the apron to Rhea.

Rhea chases Zelina into the crowd.

Rey with a head scissors to Dom and a 619.  Santos sets for a Phantom Driver but Priest is the legal man and he kicks Santos and hits South of Heaven for the three count.

Winners:  Damian Priest and Dominik Mysterio

After the match, Rey drop kicks Priest to the floor.

– Sami Zayn walks in the back and he asks someone if they have seen Jey.  Sami is pointed in Jey’s direction as we go to commercial.

– We are back and next week, Shinsuke Nakamura returns to Smackdown.

Backstage:

Jey Uso is in the back and Sami sees him. Sami says he needs to say one thing to Jey before they go out there.  Sami says there is a way out of this.  Everything he has said will happen has happened.  We took the tag titles and the Bloodline is crumbling.  Jimmy isn’t here, Roman doesn’t trust you.  Paul is feeding you lies.  Solo is ready to drop you.  I will beat you every week if I have to but that is not the way it has to be.

There is a noise in the back and there is a storage case on Kevin Owens’ leg.  Sami goes to check on Kevin. Sami looks at Jey and he calls for a trainer.

– Jey Uso makes his way to the ring as we go to commercial.

– We are back and we have the Women’s Tag Title Match on Raw.  Xavier Woods faces LA Knight on Smackdown next week.

– Sami is in Gorilla and Kayla asks Sami for an update on Kevin.  Sami says he doesn’t think Kevin will be available.  He says Kevin is right that the Bloodline is more dangerous than before.  Jey will find out there is a problem that needs to be solved.

Jey Uso vs. Sami Zayn

They lock up and Sami backs Jey into the corner and Sami with a clean break.  Jey pushes Sami.  They lock up and Jey backs Sami into the corner and gives a clean break.  They lock up and Jey with a side head lock.  Jey with a shoulder tackle.  Sami with a shoulder tackle.  Sami with a forearm and a clothesline that sends Jey over the top rope to the fllor.

Solo Sikoa makes his way to the ring at a casual pace but Sami decides not to go for a dive to the floor despite the fact that Solo would not have gotten to the ring in time to stop him.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Jey goes up top and Sami stops Jey.  Sami and Jey exchange forearms and punches on the turnbuckles while Solo stands at ringside.  Sami hits an exploder off the turnbuckles.  Sami with punches.  Jey with a back heel kick followed by an uppercut and enzuigiri.  Sami gets a boot up and he goes to the turnbuckles but Jey with a super kick as Sami comes off the turnbuckles for a near fall.  Jey pushes Sami into the corner and Sami with an exploder into the turnbuckles.  Sami sets for a Helluva Kick but Jey moves and gets a near fall with a rollup.  Sami with a Blue Thunder Bomb for a near fall.   Sami goes up top and Jey with an enzuigiri.  Jey goes to the turnbuckles for a superplex but Sami blocks it.  Sami with forearms to the back.  Jeyw tih a head butt that drops Sami onto the top rope.  Jey with a fish hook and Solo with a Samoan Spike while the referee deals with Jey.

Jey with a drop kick for the three count.

Winner:  Jey Uso

After the matcch, Solo helps Jey up. Solo with head butts to Sami followed by punches.  Solo with more head butts and punches.  Jey watches behind Solo while Solo connects with punches and forearms.  Solo sets for a Samoan Spike but Jey stops him and he says something to Solo.

Jey with a super kick to Sami. Jey tells Solo to get a chair.  Jey punches Sami in the corner.

Matt Riddle’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring and he kicks Jey and connects with a knee to Solo.  Riddle with a knee to Jey.  Riddle clotheslines Solo over the top rope to the floor.

We go to credits.
