Lyra Valkyria Recalls Getting Advice From Becky Lynch – In October 2023, Lyra Valkyria shocked the world, as she was able to defeat Becky Lynch to win the NXT Women’s Championship.
Although Lynch never got a rematch for the title, she will likely get to face Valkyria in the future, as she was recently drafted to the Raw brand during the 2024 WWE Draft.
While speaking to TV Insider for a new interview, Valkyria talked about her bond with Becky Lynch and how she looks up to ‘The Man’.
“I only met her a little down the line in my career. It has been so incredible to have that person to look toward who grew up down the road from me. An Irish girl who has come so far is just crazy. To come from a place like Ireland, a lot of people don’t have that person they can look up to. So to see what is possible through her and how far one can go is incredible.”
Valkyria went on to talk about the best advice that Lynch has shared with her before.
“She told me to just be myself and have a lot of trust in what I bring, and I think it’s so clear she has been herself her entire career. That is what has taken her so far. I find that incredibly motivating.”
After being drafted, Lyra Valkyria said that she plans to conquer Raw just like she conquered NXT.
