ROH World Champion and PROGRESS Unified World Champion Jonathan Gresham is reportedly headed to AEW and ROH.
It was recently reported that Gresham had been in talks with AEW President Tony Khan, who is also the new ROH owner, and there were rumors that Gresham was close to signing with AEW/ROH.
Fightful Select reported today that several sources have indicated “the working plan is for Jonathan Gresham to sign with AEW/ROH, and noted that he is expected to work AEW dates.”
They’ve also heard discussions to integrate Supercard of Honor into the announcement of the deal being made, although that has yet to be confirmed.
Both sides have been said to be quiet about the situation as the current ROH Original World Champion continues to work outside dates. Sources in Impact Wrestling indicated he has not signed a contract with them and they expected him to be in AEW soon.
Gresham is scheduled to work an ROH World Title unification bout with current ROH Champion Bandido at Supercard of Honor next week.
