On this week’s SmackDown, Zelina Vega won her first match since returning to WWE in July.
Vega was scheduled to take on Liv Morgan. Carmella, who was at ringside during the match, played a big role in Vega’s victory as she distracts Morgan who misses her at the ring ropes.
As Morgan had Carmella by the hair, this allowed Vega to capitalize with a kick to the head of Morgan. Vega hits a code red for the pin and the victory.
Liv Morgan has the chance to get her revenge at Sunday’s WWE Extreme Rules, as she’s cheduled to face Carmella.
This not only was Vega’s first win since returning to WWE, but it was also her first singles win since September 2020 when she defeated Mickie James.
As seen below, after Smackdown Vega and Carmella poke fun at Liv Morgan. Carmella said she’s excited to give Morgan her second ever PPV match.
