Viewership Numbers For Extreme Rules Go-Home Episode of RAW

September 20 edition of WWE RAW, which was considered an important episode for the future plans of the show, drew 1.793 million viewers. This is up from the 1.670 million viewers who watched the show last week.

In the 18 to 49 demographic, the show scored a 0.49 rating, which is significantly up from last week’s 0.43 rating. This rise marks a 7% increase in total viewership and a 15% jump in the demographic, according to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics.

With this number, the red brand stopped its trend of three consecutive weeks in which viewership had dropped. NFL Monday Night Football ranked first overall on the night, and RAW ranked seventh.

The hourly breakdown is as follows:

  • Hour One: 1.860 million viewers (0.51 rating in 18 to 49 demographic)
  • Hour Two: 1.853 million viewers (0.51 rating in 18 to 49 demographic)
  • Hour Three: 1.667 million viewers (0.46 rating in 18 to 49 demographic)

This week’s show featured a star-studded tag team match between The New Day and The Bloodline, which had been announced ahead of time. It’s fair to argue that the announcement of WWE Universal Champon Roman Reigns’ apperance on the show might have drew some additional viewers. In the main event of the program, Reigns defeated Bobby Lashley and WWE Champion Big E.

  1. The “report” about fans leaving was completely false. I was there, complete fabrication from Dave Meltzer, who is a completely unreliable source these days. Shameful reporting by Badrose to baselessly speculate that fans leaving impacted the viewership for the third hour, as that makes absolutely no sense. Wrestling “journalism” is all but dead now thanks to room temp IQ “journalists” like these.
