Former WWE Superstar Mickie James was backstage at last night’s NWA “When Our Shadows Fall” pay-per-view. As seen below, James was pictured with NWA reporter Mayra Dias Gomes.
James has strong ties to the historic promotion. Mickie is married to NWA Heavyweight Champion, Nick Aldis. The couple met while competing in TNA and have one child together.
WWE released James from her WWE contract after WrestleMania 37 and the links to NWA have led many fans to speculate that James could end up in the company. While still only thought and theory, NWA would be an ideal destination for the legend.
NWA are starting to rebuild their women’s division after Allysin Kay, Marti Belle, Ashley Vox, and Tasha Steelz all departed. The signing of Kylie Rae adds name value and recognition to the division. A name such as James would bring further prestige, invaluable experience and excitement to the promotion.
