Karissa Rivera Set To Be Backstage at SmackDown
According to Squared Circle Sirens, New Jersey independent wrestler Karissa Rivera will be backstage at the site of WWE’ SmackDown tomorrow at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

WWE needs local indie talent backstage at their events just in case they require an extra or enhancement talent. Karissa Rivera has appeared on NXT before and on SmackDown as well. It looks like she could get another spot tomorrow.

The 27-year-old second-generation independent wrestler from New Jersey currently trains under Damien Adams.

She had a WWE tryout in December of 2018. She has appeared on NXT TV wrestling current RAW superstar Lacey Evans alongside accompanying Velveteen Dream for a promo. She has also appeared on SmackDown wrestling against The IIconics in a tag team match.

Most recently she has tried out of the upcoming WWE Superstar Search which is being produced by Bunim-Murray Productions – the company behind Total Bellas, Total Divas and “Keeping up With The Kardashians”. She has also trained at the WWE Performance Center. She was also brought to Canada over SummerSlam weekend where she acted as extra talent for the company.

Rivera also has wrestled for Women of Honor and appeared for IMPACT Wrestling in a Knockouts Battle Royal on a taping while they were in New York. she also appeared at AEW’s Dynamite show on TNT as a guest bell ringer.

It’s unknown if she will be appearing on TV or will just appear as an extra backstage.
