WWE RAW RESULTS – MARCH 28, 2016

WWE RAW Opener:

Tonight’s WWE RAW opens up live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Michael Cole, joined by JBL and Byron Saxton, welcomes us. We go right to the ring as the gong hits and out comes The Undertaker with his grand entrance.


Fans chant Taker’s name as he takes the mic. Taker says WrestleMania 32 will not be his last and the fans pop. Taker says he’s made it clear to Vince McMahon that the blood of his son is on his hands. Taker says Vince’s blood very well may be on his hands too. Taker knows Shane McMahon is going to fight for his legacy until he draws his last breath but WrestleMania is Taker’s yard, Hell In a Cell is his house. At WrestleMania, Shane will… rest in peace. Shane’s music hits and out he comes to a pop.

Shane speaks from the stage. He says they both will fight for their legacies but he’s fighting to win and Taker is fighting to not lose. Shane says Taker may be his dad’s instrument, but Shane is the instrument of change that WWE has needed for a long time. Shane gets a big pop when mentioning how he will take over RAW. Shane says if he has to cement his legacy by destroying Taker’s, then that’s what he will do. Taker tells Shane to watch his mouth and calls him a rich boy. Taker says Shane doesn’t get to talk about Taker’s legacy. Shane starts walking to the ring.

Shane meets Taker in the middle of the ring as fans chant “holy shit” now. Shane says Taker’s legacy died at WrestleMania two years ago. There’s some space in between them now. Fans chant “Suplex City” as Taker thinks. Taker says Shane is just like his old man. Taker says from the very day Shane was born, he’s been his daddy’s bitch. Shane attacks Taker with punches and backs him into the corner. Taker grabs him and tosses him over the top rope. Taker follows, blocks and drops him with a knee. Taker tosses Shane into the barrier, then again. Taker takes the announce table apart as fans pop. Taker with a headbutt and a boot as Shane tries to fight back. Fans chant “this is awesome” now. Taker goes for a Last Ride through the table but Shane slides out and hits Taker with strikes. Shane decks Taker with a TV monitor. Shane seems a bit lost but hits Taker with the monitor again. Shane goes in the ring and to the top. Shane looks down at Taker and nails a huge elbow drop through the table. Another “holy s–t” chant from fans. “You still got it” chants start as Shane stumbles to his feet and his music plays. We go to replays. Shane makes his exit and we see Taker sit straight up to a pop. Shane stops and looks back from the stage. Taker looks at him and cuts his throat. Taker’s music hits and the lights go low as Shane looks on. We go to commercial.

– We are back with a Moments Ago Moment of what just happened between Shane McMahon and the Undertaker.

Chris Jericho vs. Zack Ryder

Zack Ryder waits in the ring as Chris Jericho makes his way out, then we see what happened when Chris Jericho confronted Zack Ryder during the kick off show.

Before the match starts, AJ Styles makes his way to the ring and he has something to say. AJ asks Chris if he is not going to give him the match. AJ asks if Chris would rather sit out Wrestlemania than face him. AJ says he is not leaving tonight until he gets the match he wants at Wrestlemania. AJ stands next to the announcers.

Ryder wtih a rollup for a near fall. Jericho with a back body drop that sends Ryder over the top rope to the floor. Jericho with a baseball slide to Ryder and then Jericho hits Ryder with JBL’s hat. Jericho sends Ryder back into the ring and he kicks Ryder in the ribs. Jericho with chops but Ryder with a kick and forearms. Jericho chops and punches Ryder. Jericho with an Irish whip but he runs into knees from Ryder. Ryder with a missile drop kick followed by a running forearm into the corner. Ryder with the Broski Boot set up but Jericho with a double leg take down.

Jericho sets for the Walls of Jericho but AJ starts a “Y2Jackass” chant. Ryder with a rollup for the three count.

Winner: Zack Ryder

After the match, Jericho gives Ryder a Codebreaker. Styles gets into the ring and Jericho leaves the ring and he hits whatever is left at ringside with a chair.

Jericho says Styles can try to embarrass him in front of the morons and start a Y2Jackass chant. You just kicked the hornet’s nest you stupid ass. If you want him at Wrestlemania? Do you want the best in the world at Wrestlemania? You want Jericho versus Styles… you got it. You can wipe that stupid smile off your face. Chris says this is his twelfth Wrestlemania. He has won titles at Wrestlemania and he has bled at Wrestlemania. He calls Styles a rookie and says this will be your last Wrestlemania. It will be the worst night of his life.

– Becky Lynch and Charlotte walk slowly in split screen as we go to commercial.

Charlotte vs. Becky Lynch

Back from the break and Sasha Banks is at ringside to watch. Becky Lynch makes her way out to the ring. WWE Divas Champion Charlotte is out next with Ric Flair for this non-title match.

Charlotte pushes Becky and Becky pushes back. Becky with arm drags into an arm bar. Charlotte with a knee but Becky with an Irish whip. Charlotte flips to the apron and connects with a shoudler and Charlotte pulls Becky down by the hair. Charlotte mocks Sasha from the apron as we go to commercial.

We are back and Charlotte with knees while she has Becky in a cravate. Becky escapes but Charlotte with a kick. Becky with an Irish whip and clotheslines. Becky with a leg lariat and then she hits a running forearm into the corner. Becky with an Exploder for a near fall. Becky sets for the DisArmHer but Charlotte with a rollup for a near fall followed by a kick and chop for another near fall.

Becky kicks Charlotte off the turnbuckles and to the floor. Sasha gets up as we see a new announce table. Becky chases Charlotte around the ring and Charlotte gets back in but Becky is grabbed by Flair. Charlotte with a kick and Natural Selection for the three count.

Winner: Charlotte

Backstage:

Renee Young is in the interview area with Vince McMahon. Renee asks Vince about what happened at the start of the show. Vince says that was an inkling of what we will see at Wrestlemania. Shane is not afraid of the Undertaker. Shane will do anything to win. When Undertaker said that Hell in a Cell was his house and Wrestlemania is his yard. Shane does not want the house or the yard. He wants the entire WWE Universe and he will do anything to get that. He is not surprised at any of that. All Shane has done is anger the Undertaker. An angry Undertaker is the type of person he would want on his side.

Vince tells Shane if he was him, he would be on the other side of the Brooklyn Bridge.

Shane says that Vince thinks he is God and no one can run the company better than him. On the very stage you created, he is going to take forty years of anger and frustration out and he will run Raw. While you stole the company from your father, Shane says he will be taking it from his father. We go to commercial.

Big Show and Kane vs. The Social Outcasts

Back from the break and we see the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle trophy at ringside. Heath Slater, Curtis Axel, Bo Dallas and Adam Rose are on the apron. We hear Axel wish a happy birthday to his late father Curt Hennig. Slater has a mic but he’s immediately interrupted by Big Show’s music. Kane is out next. It will be Axel and Bo representing their group. Kane starts off with Axel and works him over.

The match quickly falls apart as The Outcasts hit the ring. Goldust, The Ascension, Jack Swagger, Damien Sandow, R-Truth, Fandango, Darren Young, Mark Henry, Tyler Breeze and a few others are out. A big brawl breaks out. It comes down to Henry, Show and Kane. Henry takes a double chokeslam. The Outcasts run back in and take a quadruple chokeslam. Show’s music hits as he stands tall with Kane and they exchange looks.

– We get a look back at last week’s parking garage brawl with Roman Reigns and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Triple H, who will be here next. Back to commercial.

– We are back and we see a commerical for the WWE 24 special featuring Daniel Bryan’s retirement.

In the Arena:

Triple H makes his way to the ring with his wife Stephanie McMahon. Stephanie tells everyone to stand up and show the proper respect for her husband Triple H. She tells everyone to get on your knees and grovel at his feet. That is how you show respect to the fourteen time WWE Champion.

Hunter says in six days the world will watch. In six days the biggest crowd will watch live. In six days the world will watch the spectacle that is Wrestlemania. They will watch for the WWE Title Match. It is the most important thing in this industry. Not to take away from anything else, it is the dream of everyone who will walk on the stage on Sunday. It is the dream of everyone at home. Everyone has had the dream or fantasy to hold the WWE title high above their head at Wrestlemania. That will never happen for any of you. You don’t have the ability to make your dreams a reality. Think of the odds. Roman Reigns did. He is one of those one in a million athletes. He can turn his dreams into reality. He was so good he was able to become the WWE World Champion. For all of five minutes and fifteen seconds. This Sunday, Hunter says he will walk the aisle at Wrestlemania for the twentieth time. For the ninth time he will compete for the World Title, the most of anyone in history. Hunter says it is because he is obsessed with it. He has been obsessed since Day One of being the WWE Champion. That obsession led him to the World Championship and the greatest WWE Superstar in History. He has had a stranglehold on this title and business for the last twenty years. Hunter says he thought it was okay to put on a suit every day. Then on that announce table four months ago, Roman Reigns power bombed him. On that table, Roman Reigns lit the fire of his obsession once again. People may have forgotten who he was. Maybe it was Roman Reigns putting his hands on him, but that obsession was back and it was bigger and better than ever. It was not long before he was WWE Champion again. Roman Reigns, you have already lost this Sunday. You have already made the fatal mistake on Sunday. You made that mistake four months ago. His obsession marks the end of your dream. That obsession will ensure that no matter what, he will walk out of Wrestlemania the WWE Champion.

Stephanie says this Sunday is not about marching bands or horns or Hell in a Cell. It is about the WWE Title, it is about her husband, it is about the Cerebral Assassin.

Roman Reigns’ music plays and he makes his way to the ring.

Hunter kicks Reigns as he crawls under the ropes. Reigns with a punch to Hunter but Hunter sends Roman into the corner. Reigns wtih a punch and Hunter leaves the ring. Stephanie is in the ring alone with Reigns and she gets out of the ring before Roman does anything to her. We go to commercial.

– We are back with a Moments Ago Moment of what happened between Triple H and Roman Reigns.

– Triple H and Stephanie walk in the back.

In the Arena:

It is time for the New Day to make their way to the ring.

Xavier Woods says the New Day, your WWE World Tag Team Champions are here. If you haven’t heard, the official cereal for Wrestlemania is BOOTY-Os. If you haven’t gotten your box of BOOTY-Os, what are you waiting for.

Kofi asks who won’t get their won cereal? The League of Nations. Who in their right mind would want to try Rusev’s Bulgarian Flakes? The catchphrase would be They’re Gross. Big E says in the word of the late great Fhife Dawg, can I kick it. They are the best, like New York pizza.

Kofi Kingston vs. Alberto Del Rio

Alberto with punches to Kofi but Kofi moves when Del Rio goes for a splash. Woods plays La Cucaracha and Kofi with a baseball slide to Del Rio. Kofi is crotched by Del Rio and Del Rio with a reverse superplex and Kofi goes to the floor as we go to commercial.

We are back and Del Rio gets a near fall. Del Rio wtih a reverse chin lock on Kofi. Kofi with a punch but Del Rio wtih a tilt a whirl back breaker. Del Rio puts Kofi in the tree of woe and kicks Kofi in the back. Del Rio goes to the turnbuckles and he does the finger twirl but misses the double stomp. Kofi with a chop to the top of the head followed by a drop kick. Kofi misses the flying clothesline, but he gets a near fall with SOS. Del Rio with a lungblower. Del Rio sets for a super kick but Kofi with a leaping double stomp for a near fall.

Kofi misses a splash into the corner and Kofi has a pendulum kick blocked and Del Rio with a double stomp. Del Rio signals for the cross arm breaker and he does the Destiny float over but Kofi counters with a rollup and the three count.

Winner: Kofi Kingston

Jonathan Coachman comes out and he tells the New Day that he is his favorite SportsCenter guest. Coach says it is confirmed live tonight that the number one sports program in America will be live at Wrestlemania on Sunday. Coach says he loves him some BOOTY-Os. They make sure you ain’t BOOTY. Coach asks for their music and he dances with the New Day.

Brock Lesnar’s door is on camera and Brock is in the building as well. We go to commercial.

– We are back and it is time to announce the Warrior Award Winner and it will be Joan Lunden.

Backstage:

Renee Young is with Roman Reigns in the interview area. Renee asks Roman about confronting Triple H, but Bubba Ray wants Roman to finish what was started on Smackdown. Roman goes to Bubba and D-Von shows up. Bubba wants to know what Roman is going to do and Roman punches Bubba and D-Von. Triple H shows up to join in the attack. Bubba and D-Von hold Roman for Hunter to punch him. Roman is sent into a wall and The Dudleys leave.

Hunter picks up Roman and tells him he will never get this while he holds the title belt in Roman’s face. Hunter slams Roman’s head into the title belt. Back to commercial.

– We are back with a Moments Ago Moment of what happened with Roman Reigns, The Dudleys, and Triple H.

Kalisto vs. Konnor

Konnor punches Kalisto after Kalisto rolls around the ring. Konnor with a side head lock take down. Konnor with an Irish whip but he misses a splash into the corner. Kalisto with an enzuigiri followed by a springboard seated splash and springboard corkscrew splash. Konnor blocks a rana attempt and Kalisto lands on his feet. Kalisto kicks Viktor off the apron. Kalisto with Salida Del Sol for the three count.

Winner: Kalisto

After the match, Kalisto hits a tornado DDT on Viktor.

Ryback’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring. Ryback stands in Kalisto’s face and he points at the Wrestlemania sign. Kalisto looks right into Ryback’s neck and he holds up the title belt. Ryback screams FEED ME MORE. Ryback leaves the ring.

– Paul Heyman is outside Brock’s locker room and he knocks on the door. He tells his beast that his public awaits. We go to commercial.

In the Arena:

Back from the break and out comes Brock Lesnar with Paul Heyman to a big pop.

Paul introduces himself and he says that he serves as the advocate not for the baddest man or the baddest dude, but for the Baddest Beast on the Planet. BROCK LESNAR. Paul says his job is to hype you on the fact that we are six days away. You have the rare opportunity to see a once ever athlete and fighter at his prime and do his thing at a level that not one single member of that locker room can hope to achieve. In every equation, there is one exception to define the rule. There is one idiot, dreamer, fool, lunatic. That one lunatic thinks he has what it takes to bring that fight to Brock Lesnar to perform at the same level to be the one to defeat the one in twenty-two and one. That lunatic is Dean Ambrose.

Paul says he will give Dean all of the credit in the world, but Brock will not. Dean is crazy like a fox. Dean thinks if he can take an NCAA and UFC Champion out of his comfort zone and use these WEAPONS because they are legal. Dean has the chance to be that next star when he steps into the ring at Wrestlemania against Brock Lesnar. The bad news for the members of the Asylum, Dean Ambrose has to step into the ring with Brock Lesnar.

Paul says his client is ready to give Dean Ambrose the defining Wrestlemania moment, not of this year or generation, but of a lifetime. When Doctor Brock Lesnar takes all of those politically incorrect weapons and performs a public colonsocopy on Dean Ambrose.

Paul says that he said it two years ago, this is not a prediction, it is a spoiler… your winner at Wrestlemania will be the reigning and defending lord of the…

Dean Ambrose’s music plays and he brings a wagon to the ring and we make sure that the cameraman cannot get a shot of what is in there.

Dean gets a crowbar and steel pipe from under the ring. He also gets a baseball bat but throws it away. Dean gets a barbed wire baseball bat. Dean takes a fire extinguisher and chainsaw from under the ring. Dean throws a kendo stick in the ring and then Dean starts to walk away but he kicks the ring steps and puts them in the wagon.

Dean walks up the ramp without saying anything.

– We see what happened the first time Roman Reigns and Triple H met tonight.

– We are told that the Authority is not finished tonight.

– Paige, Brie Bella, Natalya, and Alicia are talking in the back as we go to commercial.

Paige vs. Emma

Back from the break and out comes Paige with Natalya, Brie Bella and Alicia Fox. Cole confirms that one more partner is needed for the 5-on-5 Total Divas team at WrestleMania 32. “Team Bad and Blonde” Emma, Lana, Tamina Snuka, Summer Rae and Naomi are out next.

Emma with forearms to the back and a snap mare using the hair followed by a kick and she stands on Paige’s hair. Emma puts Paige in the ropes and pulls the hair. Emma with a drop kick for a near fall. Emma puts Paige in the corner and kicks her. Emma with the cross body into the corner and she gets a near fall. Paige with a back heel kick and then Paige contradicts Taker’s comment that this is his house by saying it is her house. Paige with a running knee into the corner followed by a knee and a near fall. Paige with a fallaway slam.

Tamina gets on teh apron and Natalya, Alicia and Brie stand at ringside. Emma with a jaw breaker and then Lana with a round kick for the three count.

Winner: Emma

After the match, Brie goes after Lana but Summer makes the save. Summer kicks Brie in the corner. Tamina slams Natalya’s head into the apron and then Eva Marie’s music plays and we have our fifth.

Eva attacks Lana and sends her to the mat. Eva joins Paige, Natalya, Brie, and Alicia in the ring, but they are not really happy that she is with them.

Backstage:

Goldust is in his locker room but he turns around and sees R Truth. Truth says what happened tonight, he will not have his back in the battle royal. It is brother against brother and team against team. Truth says they should let him do the thinking for the both of them since they are a team. Goldust says they are not a team. Truth says this is so difficult and he starts to cry and he blows his nose in a Goldust shirt and leaves. Back to commercial.

– We are back and we get the official announcement that Snoop Dogg will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Kevin Owens, Miz, and Stardust vs. Sami Zayn, Sin Cara, and Dolph Ziggler

Miz and Zayn start things off and they lock up. Zayn with a waist lock and Miz with a wrist lock. Zayn tries to reverse the wrist lock but Miz keeps Zayn on the mat. Zayn with a reversal and arm wringer. Zayn leaps over Miz and hits an arm drag. Owens tags in and he tags in Stardust and goes to the floor to tease facing Zayn. Zayn with arm drags into an arm bar. Ziggler tags in and he rolls up Stardust for a near fall.

Stardust with a slam. Ziggler with a rollup for a near fall. Ziggler with another rollup for a near fall. Stardust with a punch and forearm in the corner. Stardust with kicks. Stardust with a punch.

Ziggler with a drop kick and he sets for a super kick but Stardust gets to the floor. Ziggler super kicks Miz off the apron but Owens sees it coming and he gets to the floor before Ziggler can connect. We go to commercial.

We are back and Ziggler with a drop kick to Stardust and Cara tags in. Cara with a forearm off the turnbuckles and shoulder tackle. Cara with a springboard arm drag but Stardust with a forearm to the back. Stardust goes off the turnbuckles but is met with a drop kick for a near fall. Stardust with a punch and Owens tells Stardust to tag in Miz. Owens encourages Miz and Cara with a rollup for a near fall. Cara with a springboard cross body for a near fall. Zayn tags in and he hits a forearm from the turnbuckles and follows with a snap mare and drop kick for a near fall. Miz with forearms to the back and he punches Zayn.

Stardust tags in and stomps on Zayn’s chest. Ziggler tags in and hits two clotheslines followed by a Stinger Splash and neck breaker. Ziggler winds up for the leaping elbow drop and he gets a near fall. Miz punches Ziggler when Stardust distracts the referee. Miz tags in and he kicks Ziggler. Stardust punches Ziggler on the floor and sends Ziggler into the crowd before sending him back into the ring. Stardust tags Miz back in and he kicks Ziggler. Owens tags in and kicks Ziggler and tags Stardust back in and he chants for Stardust. Back to commercial.

We are back and Miz tags in and he kicks Ziggler. Miz with a reverse chin lock. Ziggler with punches and head butts. Ziggler tries for a Fameasser but Miz blocks it and he hot shots Ziggler. Zayn tags in and he takes care of Owens. SIn Cara with a cross body followed by a modified Olympic Slam and then he goes up for the Fallen Star but Stardust gets his knees up. Miz and Zayn tag in and Zayn goes off the turnbuckles. Miz tries for a Skull Crushing Finale but Zayn with a rollup for a near fall. Miz with a Skull Crushing Finale but Ziggler wtih a Zig Zag. Stardust hits the Queen’s Crossbow and Sin Cara with a dive to the floor. Owens tags in and he tries for the Pop Up Powerbomb but Zayn with a drop kick. Miz and Stardust refuse the tag and leave.

Owens yells at Stardust and Miz. Zayn with a kick and then he goes to the turnbuckles for a tornado DDT. Zayn with a Helluva Kick and he gets the three count.

Winners: Sin Cara, Dolph Ziggler, and Sami Zayn

– Triple H and Stephanie McMahon make their way through the back as we go to commercial.

– We are back and we are told by Michael Cole that parts of Smackdown will come from AT&T Stadium. On Smackdown, Erick Rowan faces Dean Ambrose.

In the Arena:

Triple H and Stephanie McMahon make their way to the ring.

Stephanie says you look at us with hatred and loathing in your eyes because you could never achieve what they have. You base your lives on hopes and dreams. The reality comes in when life slaps you in the face. You are looking for new leadership and new champions because it isn’t happening. This championship is going nowhere and neither are they.

Hunter talks about attacking from behind as if it is not strategy but is cowardice. Hunter says a lot is at stake. This is not a game, this is real life. Millions of dollars are at stake. You can take your morality and shove it.

Roman Reigns’ music plays and he makes his way to the ring again, but Roman has a bit of a limp as he makes his way to the ring.

Hunter comes out to meet Roman and they exchange punches. Hunter has the advantage and he sends Roman into the ring post. Roman sends Hunter into the ringside barrier. Roman with a clothesline that sends Hunter over the ringside barrier into Yeatonville.

Stephanie signals to the back and a number of people come out and hold Roman for Hunter. Hunter punches Roman. More people come out this time to help Roman. We have a brawl and Hunter and Roman are separated but only for a moment because Roman gets free and goes after Hunter.

Roman sends Miz over the announce table while Hunter gets in the ring. Hunter is pulled out of the ring as Roman gets into the ring.

Hunter goes up the ramp but he tries to get back to the ring but he is held back. Roman with a plancha onto Hunter and the other heels.

Hunter crawls up the ramp to be with Stephanie.

We go to credits.
