WWE Extreme Rules Results 2022

WWE Extreme Rules Results 2022 – The WWE Extreme Rules Kickoff pre-show opens live from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as Kevin Patrick welcomes us.

We see fans finding their seats in the background. Patrick is joined by Sam Roberts and WWE Hall of Famers Booker T and Jerry Lawler. They congratulate each other on the recent commentary team changes, and then Patrick goes over tonight’s card (Spoiler notes at this link).

— We go to a video package for tonight’s Ladder Match. The panel discusses Bayley vs. RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair.

Booker says that Bayley is back for vengeance. She was living her best life and then she suffers an ACL injury. Booker says that Bianca stepped in and played Tom Brady to Drew Bledsoe. Kevin asks about this being a ladder match. Lawler says that is a difference. He says he loves Bayley because she hates Michael Cole as much as he does. Bayley has a drive in her and the experience will make a huge difference. Bianca is the best, but the ladder match experience is in Bayley’s corner.

Peter mentions Cole’s WrestleMania record. He says he is excited for this match. He wonders who the advantage goes to. Bayley does not have to pin Bianca to win the title. However, Bayley is coming off her injury. Pete wonders if the ladder will be a factor for Bayley because of her injury. Booker says he has been injured before and you wonder if you can do it like you did before the injury. That gets you motivated in the rehab. Booker says Bayley is better than ever. Jerry says outside interference can play a factor. He mentions that he was cost a WWE title because of outside interference in a ladder match.

Booker says both of them want it but Bayley wants it more. Peter picks Bayley. Lawler and Booker also go with Bayley.

— We take a look at the I Quit Match with a video package.

Kevin asks Lawler about whether either of them will be able to say I Quit. Jerry mentions that Edge had been at home watching WWE and he feels that he didn’t want to quit. Then Finn and The Judgment Day got involved. Finn tried to end Edge’s career and that is crossing the line. He says he thinks Edge makes Finn say I Quit.

Booker says he loves Edge and he had his first Wrestlemania match against Edge. He talks about Edge mentioning the pain he feels. He says this is a young man’s game. Edge created a monster in The Judgment Day and Finn has taken over. He says he does not want to see Edge get separated from his senses.

Kevin mentions that Edge is 9-0 since Crown Jewel. Peter says a one on one match, he would like Edge’s chances. Anything can happen in this match. Where will The Judgment Day be for this match. Jerry agrees it is a young man’s game. Jerry says to be wary of the old man in a profession where the young men don’t last long. Peter mentions Dominik and how he might want to take out Edge.

Lawler picks Edge. Booker says this will be Edge’s final match and he will be done after tonight. Peter picks Balor.

— We take a look at the Smackdown Women’s Title Match with a video package.

Booker says it takes one person to really bring something out of you. Liv has stepped up. Being champion makes you better. He liked that she calls it “MY Championship”. She is going to leave it all in the ring. This is a new Liv Morgan. Ronda better have her head on a swivel. Peter says this is Moving Day. Either Liv beats Ronda a third time and Ronda is no longer a contender or Ronda wins and Liv’s reign was not as special.

Jerry talks about the first time she saw Liv Morgan in the WWE. He never saw her in the ring, but when he saw her in the ring, he felt she had something. Liv has improved since that first time. If Liv beats Ronda tonight, Ronda can’t be called Baddest Woman on the Planet.

Peter says that Ronda has to take advantage of the stipulation. Booker says Ronda has to lean on the judo to win tonight. Booker says Liv is going to win. Jerry picks Ronda. Peter picks Ronda.

— We take a look at the upcoming Logan Paul and Roman Reigns match at Crown Jewel.

Jerry says he wishes Sami had a handle on his head when he won’t stop speaking. Peter and Booker say they like Sami. Peter says you can sleep on Logan Paul, but if you see what Logan does, he is trying to set up division in the Bloodline. Booker says if you are going to shoot your shot, shoot at the biggest dog in the yard. Everyone has a puncher’s chance, but anything can happen.

— We take a look at the Strap Match with a video package.

Peter says he is excited for this match. He says it is a classic. He says this is not the tap the corners strap match, it is pinfall or submission. Peter mentions what happened last night. Jerry mentions a strap match against Austin Idol. He felt that he would keep Austin from getting away from him and he would wear out Idol. Austin tied the strap to the ring post and Idol was working him over. Jerry says Kross won’t like the result.

Booker says he lobbied to avoid these matches. Kross and Drew are willing to put themselves through anything. This is about the title picture and staying close to it. Drew has been staying close, but then Kross comes along. Kross is a grown ass man who is willing to go out there and step on some toes and keep on walking. Kross will get there through Drew. Booker picks Kross. Peter starts to give his pick for Kross but we get the White Rabbit video hacking in. He says Kross is fresher. Jerry picks Drew. He has been doing so much to stay in the title picture. If Drew loses, he is out of that picture. Booker says Kross is special. Jerry says Scarlett isn’t bad either.

— We take a look at the Donnybrook Match with a video package.

Booker says the first match between Gunther and Sheamus could be match of the year and he says last night was no different. That is what this business is about. It is about leaving it all in the ring. Gunther is a hell of an athlete and he is more traditional. Gunther has pride in what he does. The Brawlers will come to fight and they will take it out on Imperium. He picks the Brutes. Peter mentions how it is not all about Sheamus and Gunther. You have to think about the other four men in the match. Peter picks Imperium.

— We take a look at the Fight Pit Match.

Booker says Cormier might be a bit biased because of his past with Riddle. Kevin mentions Cormier celebrating Seth’s victory a few years ago at Mania. Booker says Riddle has a comfort zone, but Seth has been doing some of his best work this year. Seth will have a game plan. Do not think that Seth is not coming to win this match. Seth will win this match by hook or by crook.

Peter talks about Wrestlemania 13 and bringing in Ken Shamrock to be referee. Booker says Shamrock should have been the ref tonight. Peter says this is a unique match and not something you normally see. Kevin brings up how Seth brought up Riddle’s personal life. Booker says you can’t sleep on Riddle. He has made great strides in WWE and he is capable of winning this match.

WWE Extreme Rules Results 2022

Winner: Matt Riddle

After the match, Ref Daniel Cormier begins to escort Riddle up the ramp. We get our end credits logo and the lights go out! Cole questions if they’re still on the air when… we hear he’s got the whole word, in his hands… The crowd pops big and cell phone lights flash up everywhere!

We hear the singing and the crowd sings with it. A spotlight flashes to various spots in the crowd, showing the various puppets of the Firefly Fun House–but no longer puppets! People in outfits, including the rabbit, the pig, and Sister Abigail are all shown. A spotlight flashes on the commentary desk, revealing a familiar, old mask. The song continues and we see the Fiend! The light goes off–most likely that was not the real Fiend based on body shape. We see a backstage area set up creepily–its the Firefly Fun House! It’s in a severe state of disrepair and the camera pans through, to a television. We get a video of a white-masked individual cackling and asking “Who killed the world?” before finally answering “we did.” We cut to the arena where a door is set up, light glowing behind it. The lights cut, the crowd pops big…and we see a lantern!

The crowd erupts and out comes Bray Wyatt wearing the white mask from the video! A loud “holy shit” chant from Philadelphia and the mask is removed, confirming it is, indeed, Bray Wyatt! He blows out the lantern, the lights go out, and we get a new, upside-down logo for Wyatt to end the show!
