Fans have picked up on one WWE star being absent from WWE television for the past few months and that’s Bobby Roode.
Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Roode is in the same situation as the Singh Brothers as they haven’t been on television due to them living in Canada.
With the coronavirus outbreak and the borders between Canada and the United States being closed, they can’t get into the country. Thus, it’s not a situation where they don’t want to work WWE TV tapings, but simply can’t travel.
Other international talent also face this challenge such as Pete Dunne and NXT Cruiserweight Champion Jordan Devlin, who live in the UK.
Former WWE Champion Brock Lesnar also lives in Canada but it was noted that WWE is able to pull strings and make it work where he can travel from Canada to Orlando, Florida to work TV tapings at the Performance Center.
Meltzer added that most of the other talent that is Canadian has moved to Florida so it’s not an issue for them to travel like Roode and the Singhs.
Roode’s last match and appearance on WWE programming came back in March when he teamed up with Dolph Ziggler to compete in the Elimination Chamber Match for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships at the Elimination Chamber event.
