WWE SmackDown Spoilers for August 21

WWE SmackDown Spoilers for August 21

WWE SmackDown is set for a busy night on August 21, with a lineup that mixes championship action, storyline movement and a few surprises planned along the way. The show comes with a clear structure, starting with a promo segment and ending with a hometown title match that has already drawn plenty of attention.

Sami Zayn will open the broadcast with a promo segment. Zayn has been out of the ring due to what is believed to be a legitimate hand injury, and tonight’s appearance will be his first major on‑screen moment since the news broke. WWE is using the segment to keep him involved while he remains sidelined.

The expected main event is CM Punk defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against Kevin Owens in Toronto. Owens enters the match as the betting favorite, but the internal plan is reportedly for Punk vs. Owens to be a one‑and‑done situation rather than the start of a longer feud. A finish that gives Owens a win without a title change — such as a disqualification or countout — remains a possibility.

Between the opener and the main event, SmackDown will feature several notable matches and segments. The MFTs are scheduled to defend the WWE Tag Team Championship against Damian Priest and R‑Truth, and that match is expected to be the first bout of the night. Giulia vs. Blake Monroe will follow, marking Monroe’s in‑ring debut on the blue brand.

Trick Williams is also set for a segment, while Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton will continue their build toward WWE Sunday Night’s Main Event in Atlanta. Their storyline has been heating up in recent weeks, and tonight’s show is expected to push things further.

Below is the full spoiler lineup for the August 21 episode.
