Jacob Fatu Challenges Solo Sikoa to WWE United States Title Match at Night of Champions – On the June 20 episode of WWE SmackDown, Solo Sikoa addressed the current situation with an emotional plea to Jacob Fatu. Standing alone in the ring with open arms, Solo invited Fatu to come out and clear the air face to face.
Jacob Fatu soon made his way to the ring, setting the stage for a tense confrontation. Solo began by emphasizing that he did not come to fight but to express love and family loyalty. “I love Jacob,” Solo declared. He spoke about the lessons he learned as Tribal Chief about loving and taking care of family, acknowledging that families argue but ultimately forgive and move forward. Solo extended his hand, reminding Fatu that no one saw his potential except him. “Nobody wanted you here but me,” Solo said, explaining that he brought Fatu in to give him an opportunity to change his life and provide for his family. He urged Fatu to return to the family, even saying the words for him: “I love you, Jacob.”
Fatu responded with suspicion and anger. He questioned Solo’s motives, accusing him of using Fatu to gain power and maintain his position as Tribal Chief. “You brought me in so I could bring you fame? You brought me in because you thought I would bring you gold?” Fatu challenged. He demanded Solo look him in the eye, confronting him over the changes since Fatu won the WWE United States Title.
Placing the title belt between them, Fatu declared the championship was the root of the problem. He challenged Solo to fight him for the title, warning him not to underestimate what he is capable of. “I’m all gas, no brakes,” Fatu stated confidently.
The tension exploded as Solo attempted a punch, but Fatu countered with a headbutt and kicks. The chaos intensified when JC intervened, attacking Fatu from behind. Solo joined in attacking Fatu alongside JC. The music of Jimmy Uso then hit, and he rushed to the ring to save Fatu, delivering superkicks to JC and Solo. JC responded with aggressive strikes on Jimmy, but Fatu soon joined the fight, delivering a running back elbow to JC and a superkick to Solo.
Fatu and Jimmy Uso exchanged looks before Fatu set up for a double jump moonsault, only for Solo to roll to the floor to avoid the move. Fatu grabbed the WWE United States Title belt from near Jimmy Uso as the segment came to a close.
Later, WWE confirmed the match for Night of Champions: Jacob Fatu will defend the WWE United States Championship against Solo Sikoa.
