Elijah Undergoes Successful Surgery After NXT Injury

Elijah Undergoes Successful Surgery After NXT Injury – TNA star Elijah has undergone successful surgery following the injury he suffered during his match on the June 17 episode of WWE NXT on The CW.

As previously reported, Elijah injured his left arm while attempting his signature “Walk With Elijah” rope-walk maneuver—a variation of The Undertaker’s Old School move. The mishap occurred as he teamed with Yoshiki Inamura and Josh Briggs against Trick Williams, AJ Francis, and Wes Lee at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

Elijah immediately favored his left arm for the rest of the match, leading to post-show speculation about a possible elbow or triceps injury. Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Live later confirmed the severity, noting Elijah landed awkwardly and didn’t use his arm again during the bout.

In a noteworthy sign of the strengthened working relationship between WWE and TNA, TNA’s Lead Ringside Physician was on-site at the WWE Performance Center during the incident. That doctor was able to collaborate with the NXT medical team in evaluating and treating Elijah right after the injury occurred. The cross-promotional medical support highlighted the growing cooperation between the two companies, which has intensified in recent months.

Sources now confirm that Elijah has already undergone successful surgery to repair the damaged triceps. While the operation went well, there is currently no official timetable for his return to the ring.

The timing is unfortunate, as Elijah had just appeared on WWE television and was expected to take part in upcoming TNA iMPACT tapings in Pittsburgh. His status for future TNA programming will likely remain on hold until a clearer recovery timeline emerges.

More updates will be provided as Elijah begins his rehabilitation process.
